Maybe - but the QB in our offense is not suppose to run. He's suppose to stay in the pocket and make plays by scanning the field. Also, there were numerous QB's ahead of Parson on the depth chart already and Leach like(d) veterans QBs.

We've already thrown a potentially great year away with a shift in philosophy (2018), let's not throw away another. Find someone who can run Leach's system to either be HC or OC under Arnett. This is the way.
This season we were 9th in the SEC scoring and 11th in yardage (looking at in conference games only). Granted though, we did face the top 3 league defenses.
But we shouldn't act like our air raid offense was setting the SEC on fire. We lose Thomas, Ducking, and Williams from our WR group plus Johnson at RB. I don't think we have to be set on finding a HC or OC that will be determined to pass 50 times / game.

An accurate QB that can run, can run ANY system, and they can also HELP any system. See Manziel, Johnny. Newton, Cam. These guys are Heisman winners.
The Air Raid, like every other system in America, benefits if the QB is a weapon running the ball. The key is, if they can't throw it, it tends not to matter. Accuracy is required, running is a benefit.
I'm just curious why everyone thinks Parson isn't accurate, and we'd have to change the offense for him? I've got a pretty good guess.
Parson is accurate and he stated he wants to play in a passing offense to prove that he is more than a runner. He is more Mahomes than Lamar Jackson. He can run but prefers to pass.
Okay - what does that have to do with us teaching them to stay in the pocket though? Until that changes - our offense was / is not going to look much different.
That's nonsense. The pocket breaks down for everybody at times.
Rogers doesn't run when that happens because he'll get broken in half.
Rogers is told to make plays with his eyes and arm - not his legs. That has nothing to do with his size or athletic ability. That is how we coach the QBs.
That's good coaching. If you have the capability, pitching and catching is the correct way to play in this day and age, best bang for the buck over continually running the QB.
But Rogers holds the ball way too long. Watch Graham Harrell back in the day, ball leaves quickly. That's the correct way. Not always immediately, but within 3-4 seconds.
Rogers is not taught to simply stand in the pocket all day long. When the pocket breaks down, you HAVE to run, or minimum, move around. And he can't. He either takes advantage of a bad defense (which is why he has the time in the first place), falls down after being brushed, or gets hit hard and fumbles. He actually being taught to dump it off to the tailbacks or throw it away.
