Do Dogs (16) or Rebs (11) beat the spread? I'm afraid we will have a big letdown (think UAB after UF 2 years ago) & the Rebs are playing with confidence (hoping UT beats it out of 'em). And will Auburn cover (16) against ULM? I feel ok about the rest of our pool, but I'm having a hard time with these 3.

i'm thinking we cover, auburn covers, and the Rebs won't beat the spread against Texas.

I think MSU -16 and UM +11 are both safe. ULM's QB is the real deal, and Aub's defense is garbage.

Go with Texas and Auburn for sure. Those are both locks. MSU at -16 is very iffy on the road after a big win.

Texas is the safest bet, then Auburn. Our game is the toughest, but I'd have to pick Troy at 16.

My thinking on those 2 games is that Texas is a pretty damn good team this year. I expect they'll finish about #15 in the final polls. The 2 teams Mississippi beat are pretty bad. Very bad, in fact. They'll get a wake up call Saturday. Auburn isn't a good team, but they're not as bad as they looked Saturday (we had a lot to do with that). They took #12 Clemson to the wire in their first game. And ULM is due for a big letdown after the biggest win in their history.

Yeah. I might go with Troy at +16 too. Fortunately, my office pool is straight-up. Feel pretty good about every game except Florida-Tennessee. I have no idea who to pick in that one.

If you're going to cite history, at least get it right. (http://www.nationalchamps.net/NCAA/college_football_2004_schedules/mississippistate.htm).

Pick the Dawgs. I think we finally have a team and decide that if we want to be near the top of the conference, we need to obliterate our OOC schedule like Ozarka at ladies night in a college bar.
