I'm just messing with you and I'm not pissed. When you play 162 games you will lose a lot and the Reds might beat the Cardinals every game they play. Those guys make a ton of money to play a game so If my Cardinals lose I'm not mad like if Kentucky gets beat.
That's the spirit. It's a marathon not a sprint. That's why it's such a beautiful game. Any chance I get to rile some Birds, I'm going to by God.

Even though it’s just a scrimmage between scrubs, it’s still very nice to be at the ballpark. Beer and hotdog in hand

Reds rolling tonight. 14-1 going to bottom of 7. India is going to be a cult hero if he keeps up his hot start!

One hell of a night for baseball. Reds obliterate Pittsburgh, and UK whips UofL on their own field. Glorious!!

I LOVE that the Reds have had a game where they'd obliterated the Pirates and the Cards. This offense won't always score that much (and tonight was helped by the Pirates being terrible) but I'll always take winning the first two series of the year, especially against division opponents.

It’s a long season, but fellas I’m very very very excited about this team at the moment. They’ll inevitably cool off some, but it’s sure as hell fun to watch while they are hot. They don’t even have Geno hitting the ball yet and doing this kind of damage. I must say I needed this from the Redlegs after this past basketball season.

Consider Sonny Gray isn't even back in the rotation yet, nor is Shogo back in the OF.......

In 6 games the Reds have produced a quarter of the total runs they produced during last year's 60 game season.

Tough go of it so far today. Down 4-0 in the 4th. Reds bats need to wake up. Weaver is pitching damn good for Zona today.

Was a fun opening week.

They are who we thought they were.

If you can't close with a 3-0 lead, you're not a closer.

Amir Garrett is a clown. David Bell is a clown.

Amir Garrett has completely fallen off. And I agree...Bell is a clown for leaving him in there. Should have stuck with Tejay, or brought in Perez. I don't miss Raisel but for fecks sake GO GET A DAMN LOCKDOWN CLOSER. Total choke job tonight

100% agree, a horrible loss (2 really, in one day).

Should we start an "Amir Garrett Sucks" thread?

What Bat Time?

What Bat Station?

Hell, I might a sports bar and watch!
It's on Bally Sports Ohio aka the Artist Formerly Known as Fox Sports Ohio. 8:15 first pitch. Watching the Cats and Tide right now until Reds time

Reds were no better than .500 team prior to the season. No idea why anyone thought different, especially w/ the inept management they have.

Their lineup needs to be blown up, have to sit Votto (WAY over the hill) and get Senzel in the lineup and hitting, get Moustakas back, then MAYBE they can score a few runs, the first few games of the season were awesome, but now looking like fools gold.

Agree re Votto, don't agree re Senzel. Senzel's a huge draft miss, didn't hit his weight last year and is in a freefall this year plus he can't stay healthy. Reds whole deal is they're trying to win ML games but don't have ML talent to compete. With the worst Front Office in baseball their situation is hopeless.

LIke I said, he needs to be in the lineup AND hitting, which as you point out, he is not doing right now. But he isn't going to learn to hit major league pitching any better on the bench. I don't see Kyle Farmer as being the answer. As an example, Winker got off to a slow start to his career, but eventually developed into a starting OF, hoping for the same for Senzel.

I do like India so far, and Winker and Castellanos are doing all you can ask at the top of the lineup. It would greatly help if Suarez would get his head out of his *** and start hitting.

Votto broke his finger last night, sucks for him, not pulling for injuries, but tbh, gives the Reds a great opportunity to start the replacement process, which is long overdue.

The Reds don’t have anyone with much 1b experience. Will be interesting to see who gets the call. Maybe Moose to 1st and shift Suarez to 3rd and Farmer to SS?

Nailed the line up change. At least for this first game against the Indians.

Where are the fireworks for Miley’s no-hitter.

17th in franchise history, since 1892!!

I think the Reds had a pitcher toss two-in-a-row in maybe 1958.

And I think that has only been done once. Maybe Miley pulls off the second back-to-back no no’s?

In response to my own posts, above:

“Conversely, the shortest interval between no-hitters was a mere four days, between the two consecutive no-hitters pitched by Johnny Vander Meer, on June 11 and June 15, 1938.[6]”

Wikipedia is my friend!!
