Excluding the pandemic, this is only the 2nd Blue-White game I've missed in 20-some years. A combination of things caused me to change my plans on Thursday. So, I'm going to sit back and see what it's like to watch the Blue-White game on BTN.

Please use this thread to discuss the action.

Ryan Barker with the opening KO. He kicks it about a yard or two into the endzone

And a fumble by the white team on their 1st play on offense. smh

bad snap by Dawkins, and then a fumble on the exchange between Allar and the RB

Saunders was open on the deep pattern out of the slot, but Allar slightly overthrows him

Saunders on a skinny post and drops the pass on 3rd down. A tad in front of him, but he had his fingers on the ball, and should have caught it

0-0 at the end of the 1st qtr. Some individual nice plays on both sides, but not a lot to be excited about from the O unit or the D unit

Nice run by Martin, and then a nice reception by McClain (he fought of AJ Harris for the ball)

The White team blitzes, and Allar with a quick throw to Wallace for a nice gain.

Then Q. Martin with a nice run for the TD

After the PAT, it's 7-0, White

We’re taking the kids to their first PSU game this year (TBD) - thinking an early one to avoid too much craziness…my son (7) is pumped.

Good move. 7 is a great age to go to your 1st game. An early game is good because it will be warm (or should be), and hopefully you'll avoid the rain. A 1st game for a 7-year-old doesn't have to be a WhiteOut, or a freezing November game. And all of the above is amplified for your younger one.

Allar just misses Wallace on an over-the-shoulder throw/catch in the endzone.

AJ Harris follows it up with good D with a throw into the endzone.

White with a FG to end the half, up 10-0

Biggest difference for me between watching the game in-person and on BTN is how easy it is to watch OL-DL competitions on each play, and how tough it is to do the same on the BTN

Impressions so far:
Good depth at RB
Allar has more time than last BW game
Lots of missing pieces
Cousins looks like he belongs
Hope to see a smoother passing game in the second half

Gabe with the KO to start the 2nd half, and puts it a little bit further than did Baker on the opening KO

Small crowd. Horseshoe was packed earlier today

the weather forecast for State College was not all that conducive for a big crowd for the Blue-White game. And while the rain appears to have held off, it's quite windy in the stadium. Not a real surprise that the crowd at PSu is down

Beau is a good runner, with a couple of nice plays on this drive.

I'd rather see him working on his passing game.

Abdul Carter with a nice "sack"

PI on ABS. Tough call. ABS allowed Tre Wallace to get a step on him on the deep pattern, and then their feet just got tied up (seemed accidental)

Beau throws an INT at the 10, and Dinkins takes it 90 yards. On the replay, Beau was touched before the pass, so it's a sack

Allar to a wide open Rappleye for a TD. Seemed to be a blown coverage.

White goes up 27-0 after the PAT

28 sec left in the scrimmage
