delayed zone blitz, and tOSU gets him.

Then another sack on 3rd down, so that drive started well, but ended rather ugly, and prematurely

the 2nd sack:

Just put Beau in. If we either can’t throw downfield, or Allar won’t, then there is no point in him running the offense. Might as well at least add Beau’s running threat if we can’t throw 10 yards downfield anyway.

Singleton has become a primary target on passing plays. A testament to the lack of weapons at WR.
Singleton’s caught 6 passes.
Warren has 3

All WRs combined have 3. (They had 2 at the half).
-Wallace 2 catches for 45 yds
- Fleming 1 catch for 4 yds

Allar sucks. There, I said it.
Not his fault, play calling. We tried to open it up and OSU changed coverages. Better than a turnover…AK will adjust next possession if we can hold them.

Oregon gave us a game plan of how to attack this OSU defense and we say no thank you. We have our way of doing things SMH

Scheme helps compensate for skill. Was hoping we'd finally get better this year at scheming receivers open against really good secondaries (wr's, not just Warren). Simply don't have time to let downfield routes develop (and when we do, we seldom have separation).

For you armchair coaches out there, did you watch the skycam replay from behind Allar on the 3rd down play? Now tell me where you want him to throw it? Receivers getting ZERO separation. It's easy to get open against the zones of Kent State but you gotta work hard against 5 stars.

I agree.

FWIW, it appears the play was designed to be a pass to Singleton, but he was covered tightly, and Allar didn't have time to find another receiver.

^^^This is and has been the problem for years.^^^

It’s a team sport. You can’t have the drop back passer and no real WRs.

fumble, or incomplete???

boo, it's ruled incomplete. It was really close. Ham on the radio PBP felt it was a fumble.

I’m not blaming Allar. I’m saying if nobody can get open, then a pocket passer does no good. Use the option running QB.

Was there a bobble there? I think you have to stay with the call on the field there.
