Couldn't happen to a nicer guy

After the Vols wake up from an all nighter of buttchugging, celebrating their glorious win over USA, they'll be happy.

Great, I already have too many shows to watch on Sunday, now I have to watch a press conference too. Wild Boys version 2.0 here we go.

I think Lane Kiffin is a little ***** just as much as the next guy, BUT he did have a tough situation at USC. His first two years I believe they were only allotted 15 scholarships per class. They had highly ranked recruits of course, but at that low a level you can't afford to miss on ANYONE. That's why they only have 56 scholarship players. I don't care who you are, that's gonna be tough to be at the top of a really good league.

I think it'd be hard for anyone at USC right now and Kiffin was probably the furthest from the appropriate person for that job as you could have gone.

Like he's done his whole life: milk his family name and dad's reputation

Add him to the flaming pile of "legacy" coaches who are determined to prove that talent skips a generation (Shula, Dooley, Kiffin).

I expect him to be on a NFL staff by next Sunday. Rule 1 of NFL coaching: if you've ever been an NFL coach, you can always be an NFL coach.

According to USCInsider in twitter he had no idea he was being fired until the plane landed in LAX. Team was loading the bus, he was told, he then asked for the bus to wait on him and the administrators told the bus to leave without him.

Reminds me of something a client once did. He owned a company in another city. He flew down there and told the CEO to meet him at the airport. Stepped off the plane, fired the guy, then got back on the plane and flew back home.

Remind me to never hire you.

Do you seriously think its OK to post about clients comings and goings on the internet?

I don't know if I'd want to work under somebody that was that way. That combined with the high expectations of the Trojan fanbase is certainly going to turn off some prospects.

InsideUSC @InsideUSC I heard Lane Kiffin left his bag on team bus because he thought his meeting with Pat Haden would be brief and routine matter

I bet Sheridan knows who ended up the the bag. Tune in to Pawwwl to find out**

Gus Poyet, manager of soccer club Brighton, learned he'd been fired from one of the other television commentators while he was commenting on another match on television.

Also, it makes a huge difference what patdog does for a living. For most professions, no biggie.
