If only we hired Chesney and brought in 17 JMU portal transfers. It looks like lightning does not strike the same place twice.

The reality is--today just killed the AQ from ever getting more than 1 bid again. 0-3 now over 2 years
Should just be an SEC/Big Ten 12 team playoff.

How many games would JMU have won if they played in the B1G this season?

Group of five or whatever the hell they're called just don't belong.
Leaves two choices: 1) pay them a lot of money to go away; or 2) come up with a creative name to call the championship. Power Four + Notre Dame Championship would work.

tulane got smoked today. jmu is in the process of getting smoked. The playoff selection committee is going to get smoked over this. Enough charity. What a clusterf*ck.
Last year, the "didnt belong teams" had a decent showing. This year, not so much. I have no idea why they took both Tulane and JMU. Pick 1 if you need a G5 team. The committee must have really wanted to send ND a giant FU message.

Give them their own. Use the next tier of bowls, similar to now. P4 champs and G5 champs. Kick Notre Dame into the G5.

The current rules state that the 5 highest ranked conference winners get an automatic bid. With Duke as the ACC champ with 5 losses, they had no choice.

This nonsense is akin to the stupid rule that was concocted to allow Boise into bowls over other teams.

They do it so they don’t get their a$$es sued again.

If ND wants in they can join a Conference like everyone else. The ACC represents Miami, not ND in football, and Miami beat them head to head. If Notre Dame was a full member of the ACC instead of an Olympic Sport leach, they could have played themself in.

What do you say to a whiny kid that says you don’t love them anymore??? “GET A FREAKIN JOB!!!”

What do you say to Notre Dame when they cry and complain that they were robbed?? “JOIN A FREAKIN CONFERENCE!!!!!”

This is correct. This structure is about litigation avoidance. This structure and the bowl games keep the money flowing widely, fills tv slots and keeps gamblers happy. ESPN subsidizes the lesser bowls and makes the money back from gambling advertisers. As Lucy Van Pelt said about Christmas, it’s all controlled by a big eastern syndicate.

There it goes again! Why is nd singled out and gets special treatment!!!!!! They must join a conf. and compete to earn the right to get the glory and NOT hand pick their own football schedule.(and keep their bowl money for themselves)

Montana State. Montana State.

Let that sink in, while defending BGJ.
A law school buddy played football there. One night he and his teammates got hungry, so they went out and rustled a cow, brought it back to their place and butchered it up for steaks.

That’s a Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers storyline. “Helpful hint: never be without your hand truck.” (I.e., a dolly.)

How about Texas A&M?
That certainly qualifies as one. Unfortunately, our guy did it for two seasons. The second one shouldn’t have been that, but we know the reality that doesn’t need rehashed.

So if Reed does it again for A&M next year…

At least it wasn’t
