So in the 9th innning I decided to watch some of this TCU v. A&M game. Now I'm in in extra innings limbo and I need to get up early

TCU won in 16th. I made it to the 14th. Game ended at 1 am. I have Florida and TCU in finals. TCU seems destined.

Had everyone picked right except Vandy (Sorry B3 - was hoping for some B1G representation!)

Going for O'Conner's cavs to take it. Anyone but Miami would be ok for me.

This CWS field is really loaded with great fan support. If the weather holds up, I'm interested to see what kind of attendance numbers they can put up.

They are going nuts around here for TCU. Nice to see some excitement. TCU is not my team, but if I had to root for someone not named NU it's a no-brainer.

Nebraska should try to hire that Arkansas coach. He looks like he knows what he's doing and would look good in a Nebraska uniform.
Or maybe A&M's coach. He came up one run short of the CWS, but also seems to know the ropes.

Bill Byrne managed to screw Husker fans twice when it came to not hiring, then later hiring, Rob Childress.

No problem sparky.

I watched the Texas A&M-TCU game to its conclusion. It sure seemed like the umpires were tired and wanted to get home based on how that strike zone seemed to change ver the last couple of batters. A&M still would have got out of the inning alive if the third baseman didn't throw it into the dirt.

B3, good luck to Vandy. They have a hell of a coach!

I'm going with Florida to win it all. They're loaded.

Everybody's high on Vandy; I understand that but don't underestimate CSU-F. They have been there before and done that again.

ugh. They already lowered the seams and offense is up. Moving in the wall 10 feet at this point would be a disaster. No more 21-14 baseball games please.

Nobody is advocating for 21-14 games. However, up to now, offense in the CWS has been dismal so we'll have to see if this years scoring numbers hold up over time or if it's an exception. I suspect it's the exception. I don't think messing with the seams of a baseball would give you the offensive results we're seeing here. More likely, it's just one of those years. We'll see.

But there are home runs and offense is up. We do have to see how it all plays out over the next few years though.
You have to approach it one factor at a time, otherwise you risk over compensating and going way too far in the other direction.

Poor Fullerton. They were cruising with their ace last night, then Mother Nature intervened and Vandy comes back and wins it today with a 2-run walkoff HR off the local kid.

I'll always be a fan of Van Horn for what he did at Nebraska, but he sure has a tough time getting wins in Omaha.

It is a bit ironic that Nebraska's only CWS win came with MA at the helm. Sick

It's finals time: UVA - Vandy in a championship rematch.
This has happened twice before. the champion is 2-0 in the rematches.

I think the food at the CWS is getting a bit ridic. Give me a simple brat!

Another great series between the two teams. Last night was great pitching by both teams and an unlucky bounce gives UVA 3 runs.
Someone really needs to shut that Vanderbilt whistler up.
This CWS had something for everyone. Fans of pitching duels and fans of home runs should both be happy. Fences are just fine where they are at.
