Exactly. This is the key to our season, I think. Unless we start hitting from outside consistently, then it won't matter. It'll be over.

Willis is playing hard. His shot isn't way off and he was affected on the rebound put back attempt by his own man. He's made a couple of mistakes, but he's busting his *** so I hope people don't degrade his effort just because he missed a couple of shots and maybe got lost on defense once.
It's really amazing. Grants teams usually give us fits. The bigs are moving the ball very well. It's the best we have handled a good zone in a while
Good steal there by Willis. He is playing pretty hard. He might not have the most talent, but he is giving Lyles a breather and holding his own. Have to like that.
After I post that Willis makes two mistakes in a row... doesn't switch on the defense and then picks up a charge as he gets a bit too far into the lane and out of control. Good hustle by him though.
Pretty good first half. Gotta bring the energy for 20 minutes and 19 seconds more. Let's end the first half on a defensive stop.

Very solid half right there. Efficient on offense, worked the ball inside well, and took smart and open threes. On defense we made almost every possession a tough one for them. They saw a whole lot of late shot clock shots that were rushed rather than being open looks. Hopefully the second half looks a whole lot like the first.
Do half-court or longer desperation heaves at the buzzer count as 3 pt shot attempts? Notice it wasn't in the box score, or the play by play rundown.
As far as I know...they do. I mean if they make them it would count lol so it seems logical it counts as a miss.
They do in the NBA. I read where a few players wouldn't do the heave because it affected their 3 pt FG%.
Yes. Any attempt to "throw the ball toward the ring" (according to my NFHS rule book) is a FG attempt.
