Cal doesn't call enough timeouts with teams like this. They are young, streaky, and are lacking defensively. Cal should never have many timeouts remaining at the end of a half. I really couldn't imagine the justification.

It's really just the bad passing, leading to early turnovers and extending the half.. Otherwise this is a 12pt lead at the half.

Cal does need to start cracking the whip. Players seem to be making the same mistakes over the last two weeks.

Yes winning is better than losing at the half but when it should have been 10+ it's a problem you don't want to end up losing because you gave it away.

Are we the only team that never runs an out of bounds play when under other teams basket? Out play consists of lobbing it into Bam in the corner. We never look to score and since we likely don't run any plays in practice, we don't know how to defend them and get burned in games.

I'd said it before and taken plenty of heat for it ... but when you get to a certain level of play briscoe can no longer finish in the paint . Dude is 6'2 and not exactly explosive . Plays his guts out but he just isn't talented enough to exceed at the final 4 level . He doesn't come close to having the type of game he normally does agai st the big boys

Did not handle the zone well. Trying to force feed Bam resulted in a lot of turnovers. If he isn't going to make freethrows, you can't give him the ball.

Bam had SO many touches and did almost nothing with it. Turnovers, misses, missed free throws. If he were on his game, this wouldn't be so close.

Of course, he's not the only one making careless errors with the ball. We had so many opportunities to build distance! Argh

The last two minutes Bam misses three free throws and we make three terrible passes, otherwise we are up at least 10. Those passes were as bad as I've seen in a while, Kansas has almost stolen about 5 more.
