Me too. Cal made some great adjustments. WG and Briscoe are pulling these guys along. Lots of heart between those two.

I think some zone mixed in every game would go a long way. Why? Because we run so hard on offense, if we have to go back and play man to man there's no time to get a blow.
Monk just stands around on offense and doesn't try to get open. Murray moved nonstop to get open last year.
Easy to get frustrated watching them come out flat after a disappointing loss.
Well the zone works today because UGA is a horrible shooting team especially from 3. They shoot 29% from 3 lol.

If this was a road game, ok. This team just got its *** handed to them by UT and Kansas AT HOME in back to back games. And that's how they come out and defend Rupp F'n Arena?
That crap needs to stop.
Can't do it against everybody. I'd go triangle and 2 against KU, but switch back to M2M every once in a while.

Cal playing zone for extended minutes. Anyone have a recent weather report from hell?
From the time we led 25-13 against KU, to the point UGA was up 19-5, we were outscored 85-63 at home.
You mix in a few different looks depending to keep offenses on their heels and thinking. This is coaching 101 with a team like this that's average at best in man.
Why is this nonsense repeated over and over with no thought whatsoever. It's like damn group think.
Because good offensive teams like KU shred zone defenses.

Yeah, at one point I thought to myself, why aren't we getting Monk some shots, and then saw he was just standing there. Usually he does work to get open, but that is against man. I guess he doesn't know how to when it's a zone.
The thing that makes Cal perfect for this job is the same thing that frustrates us. It is his ego. His ego helps him handle the stresses of this job, but it makes him stubborn to change what he thinks works. If he worked them harder with multiple defenses and dumped the switching, we probably don't lose at least 2 of the games we did .

Briscoe really got bailed out there. What was he doing? It never, ever goes well when he goes baseline.
