We have made 7 threes and are down, it's simple we can't guard them and we are getting one shot and out. They have 4 guys ready for every rebound, it's going to be this way for a while.

We don't have an offensive identity yet. Normally we don't at this juncture in the season anyway, but defensive effort and boards carry us as we learn. Right now we just aren't doing either extremely well.

If nothing else this will wake these guys up as to what kind of focus and effort they need to bring to the court against UCLA and U6.

Well, Cal is going to have to come up with something for the second half. VT is just better and smarter.

This reminds me of the UCLA game last year, we couldn’t guard anyone, but it got better the next time we played them.

I don't think Offense was the problem here, we scored 41, seems like the issue is defensive based to me.

What did you see in the 1st half (or this season) that makes you think that’s possible?

We let them score nearly 50, make 7 threes, and shoot 63% overall.

Do that in the second half and we lose by 15+

The 0 in, 5 out offensive rebounding with no one even making an attempt to get the board hurts. It is also pretty obvious to me that Knox doesn't like to play defense so he mostly doesn't.

These refs are really bad. I turned game on at Diallo ‘charge’ and ive seen 4-5 blatantly bad missed calls that all led to VT buckets.

Anyone notice X is getting beat by ETSU at home. We beat them by 17. Didn't expect X to struggle today.
