I looked over it. Ton of people close on this one. Hell I thought I did good, well before the BS 3, but there's a ton of people almost nailed it.
Our overall defense is fine. We have definitely made some mistakes on 3 point D, but a lot of it is that opponents take what is available and are usually playing from behind.
And yes, there have been a lot of circus shots.
Can this team let me just sip on a cold one and relax plz
The most frustrating thing to me is when a guy hits 2 or 3 in a row and continues to get good looks throughout the course of the game.
We were 23rd in defensive efficiency coming into this game. As usual, things aren’t nearly as bad as some people like to make them.
That was a C- kind of game, but we fought through and got the win.

He should bring you in. You are UK and Cal's biggest fan. He could learn from you like we all do.
We usually score very easily to the point where we can make up a deficit quickly but the defense/passing sucks and the rebounding has disappeared.
I love that there is "no excuse" for everything. No excuse for a win tonight, no excuse for a loss at Alabama, no excuse for 3pt defense, so on and so on...blah blah blah
Means nothing to me as a turrible aTm team had their way shooting 48% from the 2, 47% from the 3 and owned the glass.
Usually but this team is not getting better by repetition, they are trying new things that are keeping them from becoming an efficient scoring team. Efficiency is the key, to become efficient you have to have a plan and work your plan. This team is still playing it by ear...
Ok, sorry facts mean nothing to you. Those same efficiency numbers predicted a 14 point win. That’s what it was until that last shot was thrown in.

Kinda funny/weird thing about our 3 pt D is that out of all the teams we’ve played so far UNC should’ve torched us but UK held them in check and played solid D all game.
Just like a muscle needs to tear to grow stronger, sometimes we need to wade into our own darkness to find a brighter light.
I am not trying to make it bad, watching PJ and RT was bad... you cannot turn it off and on. You play losing basketball when you play like that. Today was a tipping point for me. I sure do hope this team has a come to Jesus moment soon...
I give them a C-. Started poorly. Turned it on. Poor second half for a variety of reasons. Finished strong.
Not the kind of overall effort you want coming off of a loss, but sometimes there’s a hangover coming off a loss. I’m not ready to pull the plug.
Cal told the guys to hold the Ball and run the time out when there would be time remaining. Cal even said my bad to the team after the whistle.
Many people won’t care but people who put money on the game will be p*ssed. They shouldn’t be because this stuff happens when you gamble .
Yep...gambling rarely a good idea. Especially on college sports.

Eh, the game finished up almost exactly as predicted. We played really poorly at stretches and pretty well at other stretches.
I just think people are making a little too much negative out of a double digit win. I’d rather focus on Hagans going for 18 with 5 steals and 10-11 from the line.
Like I said, I’m giving them a C-. Don’t want to brag on them, but it was passing. Shockingly, we even won the rebounding battle. By 1.
ETA : Nevermind. We lost rebounding by 1. Box score has jumped around.

Efficiency is not a stat that I care about mostly because any stat can be inflated by just a few games vs inferior competition. I can tell you efficient defense is not something they are doing very well right now as a team. Minus Hagans, on ball and help defense has taken a nosedive the last couple games. We have one of the best coaches in the game pointing out the same inefficiencies on that side of the court. I side with him. Sorry.
The efficiency numbers are weighted based on SOS. We’ve mostly been pretty good the past few weeks. Tonight we weren’t great. But I’ve seen worse.
