Yes and I understand we pulled the last two out our asses but we could very easily be 14-4 with our only losses to Louisville, Gonzaga, MSU and Bama. We’d be 12-15th ranked in that scenario. Who knows how this team finishes the regular season. Optimistic me sees 23-8 or a 22-9 but let’s be real, we could beat or get beat by anyone on any night. If we can stop the slow starts and get Q healthy within the next 2-3 weeks we have a chance to make a little noise and be a threat for an Elite 8 type year. Fingers crossed it goes that way and not the opposite.

Yeah, Gillespie was great but I guess he screwed up at the end. They also wanted to fire Barnes immediately. It was all crazy!

I just can’t see a way to keep him. How? He can’t recruit. He can’t get elite players. He’s heading to the NIT if he’s lucky. There are no talented players coming, at best a few transfers and he can’t evaluate. Bring back what? Man, I mean I don’t know what it’s going to take for people to say this might be acceptable at Georgia, this is Kentucky. No you can’t run him back. It would be a disaster.

I never said we could do this every game I am just sick of reading post after post bitching about our being behind rather than emphasizing we won 3 in a row in gritty fashion as well as 2 SEC road games in a row. Some are so invested in seeing thier prophecies fullfilled ( Pope failing) that they are of incapable of finding ANY joy from Kentucky basketball unless THEY are proved right.
