We hold at 19... would be interesting to see if we'd be higher with yesterday properly being designated a neutral site win.

Elsewhere Maryland up to 28 from 32 after they pounded Minnesota. So that's a Q1 win for us now.

Wake from 75 to 67, a little more firmly a Q2 win.

How does FAU jump 3 spots, 21 to 18, beating #100, now 106, Charlotte?

I agree that we got screwed but this year the difference between having a NET in the teens and one in the 20s is going to mean very little since our won/loss record is so much better. If this had happened last year we could have easily been left out because of it.

I'm afraid to look at what happened to Maryland.

LOL, I think in the second half last night, the Michigan State fans were wondering where their home cooking was. The Terps were in the bonus after ten minutes...

Rutgers holds at 19. Indiana moves to 20.
I think all of us that follow this thread went to bed knowing the damage from last night would be minimal. While the win over UNC becomes less impressive by the day, it does seem like Indiana is in a better position than us to get a 4-5 seed. We need a close loss if not a win against Illinois.

yep Indiana is in better shape because their sos is 14/98 compared to Rutgers 37/294. 2 of Indiana's losses were to Arizona and Kansas. Indiana also have a win at Xavier. They dont have a loss outside Q2 like RU has to Indiana. RU is 5-5 vs teams in field. Indiana is 8-7 if you count Wisconsin. Indiana has all the advantages right now.

I have dropped RU to a 6 seed currently. Illinois and Iowa are also on that line. Indiana is a 5. Illinois has neutral site with over Texas and UCLA so a win over RU would push them ahead of them in the pecking order on the 6 line.

If UConn rises to a 4. And RU falls to a 6 or 7 is Albany still viable?

How can a system where RU beats/splits with Indiana be legit if the RU win over Indiana is penalized? Nutty.

Because you still have to take the full resume of the season into account.

I know but penalizing RU for beating Indiana is ridiculous. You have to tweak the system somehow when you are penalized for beating the team to you are being compared.

A lot of asterisks on this table. RU getting constantly shafted at seemingly new heights

Thankfully we have an incredibly easy schedule remaining. Hopefully that instills some confidence in the team, esp Cam, as we enter the postseason

The teams that scare me are any with a competent athletic Center that Cliff has to guard. As Cliff continues to develop this is an area I want to see him improve more. He does an amazing job of defending the entry into the post but any center with some handle and post moves becomes a problem for him. He tries to play off his athleticism to block shots and rebound and that actually hurts him.

The Michigan game looms at the top for me in the regard. I think all of the other games are winnable

NET stays at 21

Michigan State soars from 41 to and is very close to giving RU a 5th Q1 win

Purdue holds at 4 and Northwestern only moves from 49 to 44

Ohio State tumbles from 48 to 54

First “6” seed by only NET
obviously that’s not how it works
But if we go 3-3 we will avoid the dreaded 8
4-2 we can maybe get more, 6 hopefully

That to me is the key and goal. Avoid 8/9.
Win game one and roll dice…
Good enough to move on if we play well.

Currently RU is tweener 6/7

Competition from Illinois and Iowa and now Northwestern. Missouri Duke Creighton. Even Maryland, MSU and Nc State if they finish strong

The problem is RU doesnt have many quality win opportunities

Beating Northwestern and winning at Wisconsin gain the most cache

At this point without Mag I would settle for a 6 seed. I really thought we had a chance for a 4 seed if we got on a roll.

Actually not that bad. Illinois dropped 4 to 26. Suprised Nebraska only went from 100 to 94 with such an efficient game shooting 58%, on the road , while Oklahoma beats Kansas State at home and goes up 11. That NET has some interesting formula. Kenpom moved almost the same for Rutgers and Nebraska and closer to the NET.

Rutgers falls a spot to 29 as Maryland flips to 28

Wake Forest win now Q3 as they fall to 76.

Wisconsin is at 77 so for now will be a Q2 road game but could slip into a Q1
