I just want to say how much I enjoy interacting on this board. I only recently started to post, but read this board for a long time. Thank you all for the great time… I sometimes feel like I’m at a booth at the Skeller shooting the sh*t with some great friends. Happy New Year!!! 🎊

OPI or DPI? Both players had fistfuls of each other, hence why the guy right in front of the play did not throw a flag. The guy waaay behind the play felt the need to feel important apparently.
Why on these DPI calls is the flag thrown way after the play is over? Do they wait to see if the other ref does not throw the flag?

Tell that to @TheWizardofCamelot . He was a fervent Grunk basher earlier in the season.
Grunk looked good. And looked good down the stretch against MSU, Nebraska, Rutgers, & Clemson (with 24 opt outs). 22-24 combined record of opponents.

He did not look good in the Iowa, OSU, Indiana stretch.

He’s young and seems to have a lot of room to grow. Is he the guy? I still don’t know. Campbell has a huge decision to make.

It’s already been mentioned, but it also seems like a mass exodus is coming next week. What type of support will he have?

Lots of QBs didn’t look good against Iowa, OSU, and Indiana this year. They were all top 5 defenses when PSU played them. Plus, they were his first three games in the starting QB role.

I know it’s hard to believe, but the AKB actually gets better in the offseason.

Very proud of and happy for the guys that continued to bust their butt in practice this post season, suited up and played the game wearing the PSU uniform, and outplayed their opponant for a PSU bowl win! That, was a very enjoyable game to watch!

If he allows Rocco to portal in, that will set a bad precedent.

No it won't. QBs portaling in and out is part of the game today. I don't have an opinion of Becht vs Grunk, but Campbell needs to go with whoever positions the team best for 2026.

9 of the 12 playoff teams had new starting QBs this year. Investing 3+ years in one starter is the outlier. Franklin honestly would have been better off without dedicating a decade to Cliff and Allar.

Grunk’s first 3 starts were against Iowa, OSU and Indiana in that order. They were all top 5 rated defenses. He improved in each game and Penn State would have beaten Indiana if the defense could have prevented the TD at the end of the game. He impressed Cignetti who said afterwards it looked like Penn State found their future QB. I am not against bringing in Becht but he has 1 year of eligibility and Grunk has 3. Anyone who doesn’t see Grunk’s potential simply isn’t paying attention. It would be a huge mistake IMO to lose Grunk.

Not necessarily. Pay both qbs. I 100% want Grunk as a 2026 starting qb as well,
but when you hire a new hc generally it is a package deal with that hc’s qb. It works well in theory that Becht starts next year and Grunk, with a year in the new system, starts in ‘27. Could $5m get both qbs?

Grunk>Allar, I didn't think this a month ago.
