This is why a team should not go for 2 when ahead, particularly when you are not a good 2 point team. Now a field goal only puts you up 8, giving Clemson a chance to tie with another TD. Penn State could have gone up 9 with another FG.

Let the opponent who is behind go for 2. Coaches, even interim coaches, always outsmart themselves.

I landed in Iceland at like midnight going on about 24 hours of no sleep. Had to drive about 300 miles from Reykjavik to Akureyri. At about 28 hours without sleep, I got up to the north of Iceland where’s there a stretch of mountains between the Ring Road and the Ocean. In summer, they are green, but treeless and look like the slightly cresting 3000 foot wave if you are going crazy from lack of sleep. I stopped twice to dunk my head straight into a glacial stream running alongside the Ring Road to wake up.

I worked 24 hr in house call shifts for 13 yrs. There were times when I didn’t remember driving home, which was very scary.

Love the touchdown. Did not try to get cute. And it’s a touchdown! Grunk is showing his growth and value. Give this mostly backup offensive line a lot of credit. My only complaint is, why are we going tempo down near the goal line when time is on our side?

Grunkmeyer looks pretty good. At this point he'd be stupid to bring in a one year retread and not have him as qb 1 next spring. Move on with him and the young backs and tight ends. Grunk is accurate.
