Luff did your sons play sports? When 1 n 2 would smoke north lax by a dozen, there Wasn’t a Dad in the stands who thought that would translate to a win over Delbarton. See what I mean?

I seems to me there’s a bunch of dads on here who think smoking north = a quad championship
My son played baseball and basketball through high school and played baseball in college. I never thought beating a weak team by any score translated to beating a championship level team….every game is different. My son’s teams would play a stinker of a game against a bad team then turn around and beat a good team all the time. That’s sports…playing poorly in one game doesn’t mean you’re going to play poorly in the rest of your games. I would think you would figure that out watching your sons play.

Okay? I don’t think my take is wrong. They haven’t proven anything this year, but there’s plenty of time and ability to have the season they want.
The Eagles were doomed. PSU is doomed.

Relax and enjoy the entertainment.

You don't get extra points for predicting doom and being right.

Penn State punting today - the good and the bad.

The good - averaged over 50 yards per punt with a long of 67 yards.

The bad - they had to punt. Three times.

Another interesting stat today - Penn State had 409 yards of offense, a nice number to have.

Huh? Where did I predict doom in today’s game thread? I’m one of the people preaching reason. Nobody associated with PSU will say they played well today. They’ll get better.

There is no sugarcoating the first two weeks vs two absolutely awful teams. Quoting the final scores is not telling the story. This was a 10-0 game at the half. Allar looked like 2023 Allar. Wrs had trouble getting separation like it was 2024. The OL has not yet been dominant. I am as big of a fan as any of you and was at the game today. That was 2-3 loss team on the field today.

I'm fine with today's game. They don't all have to be dominant blowouts from the start. It's going to be OK. You can continue crying about your blue hens and Franklin, and we can continue to laugh at you. Everyone's happy.
You happy with today’s performance vs 1aa FIU? not me. I’m looking at O, are you looking at V? smh

Notre Dame LOST to Northern Illinois last year. Also, they “only” beat Miami of Ohio by 28-3. I just can’t get too upset about these beginning of the year games. PSU is a great team this year. How do these unimportant games change it?
PSU has a chance to be a great team. They have to play well and earn that label. Preseason rankings mean nothing.

I think today’s game is good in the long term. There will be no breathing their own fumes this week. They have some things to work on but off of a 34-0 win. That’s a good position to be in. It should keep them hungry.

What did we do well today, super curious.please don’t say we won, it makes you look like you don’t have any feel for the sport.
The defense looked good especially the DLine. Allar had a beautiful deep ball with a great catch. We had 0 turnovers. The running game looked much better and Allen had a great run. Chaz Coleman looked great and gives us another weapon if teams want to double team Sutton. The kicker hit two field goals and the punter looked incredible. We blocked a punt. We forced two turnovers including an almost scoop and score. And we won 34-0 while not playing our best game. How could you possibly watch that game and see nothing good? Apparently your expectations are unattainable.

I read the same thing after week 2 last year. We weren’t going to make the playoffs because we only beat Bowling Green by 7.

#2 team in the country should curb stomp weaklings, you can’t convince me otherwise. After a huge dirty win v a 10 team on the road week 7, I can accept playing flat v northwestern the next week. Hopes are high this year, rankings high, weather is perfect, 100% health, no excuses you come out flat AT HOME week 2. I can think of a possible problem off the top of my head, leadership

The weather was not perfect unless you think rain is perfect. And I don’t think there’s ever been a NC team that didn’t have a couple of less than stellar games throughout the season.

Simple laK, you keep staring at letters. I'm going to enjoy some more football.

I have the maturity level and familiarity with the game to not get worked up over the outcome of one game ... one way or the other.

Of course, you're so locked into your anti-Franklin nuttiness, that nothing reasonable will get through your noggin ... which is why you enjoy every time we don't race out to a 24-0 lead and win 70-0.

PSU had an amazing season last year, coming within a play of winning every single game and being in the Natty game ... and we didn't absolutely destroy every team we *should* have. This happens to just about every single team, every single year, even if they're incredibly successful.

But you keep acting like a bitter, spoiled child who got into his father's liquor cabinet, and see if that makes you happy.
