The common denominator is Allar. He is such a huge problem. I have been saying this for three years. Lando understands.

I believe after seeing Drew for several years now, he prefers the short passing game. He seems to only throw deep when the receiver is wide open. At least the TEs are involved this week.

Come out in the second half and establish the run--enough of the nonsense.
The weird thing is that they have been running pretty effectively, averaging about 5y/car. They're just not going to the run enough.

Dead horse beating alert - is there a more apt description of PS football under the current leadership than “playing to the level of your competition”? Maybe that’s just the modern game/athlete, but we’ve seen this movie way too much over the last decade.

The one thing I hope helps PSU this game is speed. Oregon has speed. Most of FIU players I have seen play down here living in South Florida. Biggest difference in high school football in the south vs north ...growing up in PA the kids have size down south it's speed. Hopefully this game will help PSU adjust to Oregon's speed

I think it’s a scheme issue, why for 3 years can’t Penn State WRs ever get separation? We run so much and the WRs are 1on1 all the time but never are open. I don’t get it.
It looks like PSU can better scheme guys open. They likely don’t want to show that today.

I’m in the “OL is the problem” camp. They’re playing “meh” against a team they should dominate straight up. Seeing Singleton miss huge running lanes doesn’t help.

Beautiful play by Pena. Weird that they look at Hudson more. Pena is the clear WR1.

Are they practicing short passes today?

I’m following on the computer so it can be misleading but it seems like the passing game is a 3-7 yard throw each time. It looks like they’re not stretching the field that much (if at all). Right before the half they were on the PSU 35 with only 20 seconds or so and they’re throwing 7 yard passes?
