Smith and Kotelnicki failed the team down the stretch. Total mismanagement. Kotelnicki needs to have his duties taken away!Congrats to Indiana!
Yet another failure
And probably why they called timeout even though you cant call a TO there but it was probably to get Grunk settled downGrunk lost all sight of the situation on 2nd down
BYE!
I just can’t, anymore.
This team is the softest, softest, softest, softest, BIGGEST BUNCH OF PUSSIES, I’ve EVER witnessed, in my ENTIRE life!!!
See ya, when I can root for a team that actually has pride, and gives a f$CK about winning.
The above may never happen again, but I’ll see you when it does.
No, Same old same old.Same story can the D make a stop to beat a top 5 team?
Smith didn't help but agreedSmith and Kotelnicki failed the team down the stretch. Total mismanagement. Kotelnicki needs to have his duties taken away!
Yep. Once again the $3+ million man finds a way to come from ahead for the loss. I can’t wait (and am praying) for a total house cleaning.Jim Knowles saves the day again.
Can't though--that's coaching not preparing their players. He should have been told on the 3rd down that if we complete it for the first you go to line and spike it. Can't be any confusion there. And probably why they called timeout even though you cant call a TO there but it was probably to get Grink settled down
Why was the 5 seconds from the offsides penalty play not put back on the clock? There were 20 seconds on the clock for the offsides play. They gave them the 5 yards but the clock stayed at :15? Why? What am I missing?squib kick, and PSU gets it at their 37. Wylie just covered the ball (he may have been able to run with it)
1st: Reynolds to the 41 and is OOB, with 0:29 left
2nd: Grunk throws it OOB 0:24 left
PSU just needs to kick a FG (and convert) to get to OT
3rd: Pena for a 1st down at the PSU 47
PSU calls TO (their last one) I would have preferred they spiked it, and maintained their TO
They need to get about 22 hards, in 0:20, to be in decent FG range
1st: Hudson catches it, but he's pushed OOB. Flag. It's offside by IU
0:15 left
1st: 1st & 5 - off the hands of Ross. Grunk was late isn throwing it, as Ross was wide open
0:09 left
2nd: Grunk scrambles, then throws over Singleton's head.
0:05 left. PSU really needs that TO they just wasted
3rd: Gunk throws a Hail Mary, and it's knocked down around the 5
He's a whiner! I hope Ohio State cleans their clock in the B1G title game and wipes that arrogant attitude back to Bloomington. I will be pulling against them the rest of the year.Lost a little respect for Cignetti with the "we played a little shorthanded"
I get way people like him (the success) but I'm unimpressed with him. I'm shocked he recruits well.He a whiner! Inhope Ohio State cleans their clock in the B1G title game and wipes that arrogant attitude back to Bloomington. I be pulling against them the rest of the year.
Shorthanded? One player. What a phony.
Which was it, heavy pressure or prevent defense?Just remember one thing. A prevent defense prevents you from winning. Why they abandoned pressure with two minutes and no time outs is a mystery to me.
Kudos to Mendoza. He completed several passes against heavy pressure.
He’ll definitely be shorthanded against OSU.Lost a little respect for Cignetti with the "we played a little shorthanded"
You are missing Jim Knowles and his defense that can't stop anything when it mattersWhy was the 5 seconds from the offsides penalty play not put back on the clock? Yeah its only second down, acting like they won the game. Tired of that garbage. Celebrate when you win or get off the field.Still say if they were focused after the sack and get in alignment —that long pass on the next play may have been different.
Weird we're going back to the first halfThat Katron fumble was a killer at end of first half. Good to see the team play hard. Been a while
Absolutely. Kotelnicki failed on his calls in 2nd to last offensive series and Smith should have overuled him and then Smith wasted the last time out at the wrong time. Grunk should have been told ahead of time to spike the ball.Fatal coaching errors coming down the wire doomed this game.
Personally, I hope you never come back.BYE!
I just can’t, anymore.

Coaches should have 12 year olds that play madden helping them--dead seriousWe wasted two effing timeouts for no reason. The coaching staff gets an F. My 12-year-old son said he’s just gonna spike the ball and instead we call a timeout. how does a 12-year-old know what the coaching staff and the QB does not . We are the laughing stocks of the entire college football universe today and this season overall. The difference in the game was the receivers and it goes back to Franklin‘s fatal mistake of hiring and retaining Hahans.
Could see it coming from a mile away. Same old same old.The Legend of Big Game James is alive and well
That's the rule. It's a live ball penalty, not dead ball. Why was the 5 seconds from the offsides penalty play not put back on the clock? There were 20 seconds on the clock for the offsides play. They gave them the 5 yards but the clock stayed at :15? Why? What am I missing?
NoIs anyone really surprised?
So many of the losses in the JF era -- in addition to his baffling in-game coaching gaffes — came down to our players failing to make the game-sealing play when the opportunity was there.24 had the easy int but slipped and they give up the TD a play or 2 later.
