Hope I am wrong but MSU will win 20-14.
You're clearly a football savant - easy to see how you know more than every PSU coach ever..... [insert eyeroll].
Hope I am wrong but MSU will win 20-14.
Love it when whiners whine about other whiners whining!!Nice to have a win.
Wonder what all the whiners will have to bit** about.
Watch a few of the replays cbs showed, they were blanketed because there’s no real concept used to get them open. Are they covered or is just not seeing the field and anticipating his throws? I honestly don’t know.
To be fair, he hasn't been doing this for decades. He also knows he's only coaching 2 more games--3 with a bowlTerry Smith is soooool much better to listen to. I felt for him there post game
Premature prediculation. It’s an epidemic on this board.Penn State is going to lose out. They brought the F game. What a bunch of losers!
Not for nothing, but if I'm not mistaken our WR4 is also our QB2 right now.I believe he's their last one. Don't think they have any other legit QBs. That program is in shambles
We have the QB, just no back up , WR's can't get open. The FG choice was probablyWe can't throw the football. Don't have a QB nor WRs.
I was wondering the same. That young man was beat up, both shoulders either injured or bruised. Why does MSU still have their starting QB in the game?
That's a shame. And to make the day better Iowa had a 2nd half collapse and lost to USC.
I did feel bad for him. The CBS crew said the available back-up was a true Freshman who had not played. OK, the game was over, put the Freshman in to finish to avoid more serious injury to the current starter.Evidently there is no one else....... I almost started feeling bad for the kid.
Nice to have a win.

We gave up 10 points. For f*ck‘s sake.
Tough day for you. We won. Not 3-9.Painfully bad game between two absolutely horrible teams. Good Lord let it end
PSU’s TE’s are horrible blockers.Watch a few of the replays cbs showed, they were blanketed because there’s no real concept used to get them open.
Winds were calm at the time. FGA would have been the better decision. We have the QB, just no back up , WR's can't get open. The FG choice was probably
due to winds and distance.
The trophy is like it had to have one item from every aisle at Home DepotIn the kitchen dept at Home Depot.
And the designer went on shopping sprees at both the MSU and PSU student book stores. The trophy is like it had to have one item from every aisle at Home Depot
Someone needs to teach Grunk how to slideIn a season where there hasn't been a whole lot to get excited about, that drive that took nine minutes off the clock was perhaps not a thing of beauty, but "epic." No, Grunkemeyer isn't the 2nd coming of Kerry Collins, but he did with his feet what Kerry used to do with his arm - and he really looked like he was leading the team. And Kaytron Allen more than earned his pay today. OK, it's only Michigan State, but a win's a win. Oh, and I saw some very nice tackling by the D - hit the guy solid and wrap him up. The team played very well today. I hope they can keep this mojo going. Glad, too, for Terry Smith - he deserved this win.

He makes every day tough for himself. He should take his meds and mellow out. Maybe he wouldn't be seen as an unhinged laughing stock he's carried himself as for yearsTough day for you. We won. Not 3-9.
Sometimes it doesn't exactly resemble football eitherIt isn’t baseball.
They're saving that for Nebraska, they'll never see it comingGrunkemeyer threw with his feet?
He wouldn’t have gotten those first downs had he slid…you lose a yard or so when you do that.Someone needs to teach Grunk how to slide
Outside of Dinkins yes. Reynolds has been pretty bad this year and he wasn't very good in this game.PSU’s TE’s are horrible blockers.
……for the Super Bowl champions birdsKaytron is going to be a very, very good NFL back
Agree, but on most of the replays where QB Grunk dropped back, didn't see many receivers getting open. Very seldom saw a WR come back toward the QBPSU staff continues to play not to lose instead of playing to win. Today it worked out because MSU is a bad team.
50 runs, only 13 passes. Most of the pass attempts were after running on first and second down but still having more than 5 yds to go. That puts a lot of pressure on Grunk.
I'm going to disagree with you a little on that. I saw at least 3 or 4 times there was an open WR. This was not Grunk's best game but I will say his scrambling broke things open for the rest of the running game.Agree, but on most of the replays where QB Grunk dropped back, didn't see many receivers getting open. True. We were sitting on the 50 yd line and the Line Judge was short spotting PSU on most every play.He wouldn’t have gotten those first downs had he slid…you lose a yard or so when you do that.
What was funny was on the long play, suddenly all three receivers were open.Very rarely is anyone open--the film has been broken down countless times by countless people--this was an issue long before Grunk was playing QB
And AK will be gone, that alone makes the WR room better. What was funny was on the long play, suddenly all three receivers were open.
Grunk looks downfield. Allar did not. That at least loosens the LB’s from the LOS. He had few options on most of those pass plays. His protection was decent, just nowhere to go. On some plays he looked downfield a loooong time before giving up.
Grunk will be quite good, unless Hagans stays here.
I just read that Penn St s opponents in these first 10 games have had 34 penalties combined called against them....hellava bunch of disciplined teams...what a joke...Easiest prediction of the year. Always bet the under with penalties against teams playing PSU.
