"How will they respond after a tough loss to Oregon?"

[lose to worst team in Power-4]

"How will they respond after historic loss?"

[struggling to keep up with Northwestern]

The case can easily be made that he's TRYING to get them to pull the trigger on the buyout.
My heart can't really take these mental mistakes..If he plays another down this game, well, shows no one left on the bench.

LOL. After the Phillies going down in the NLDS, and the Birds debacle agains the Giants (after PSU's disaster against UCLA), it's been a tough week.

That said, I'm not actually all that frustrated.

Still plenty of time for PSU to win this game
My advice is to not get too emotionally attached to any sports team. Be a bandwagon fan....it's far healthier.

True but the frustration is teams like UCLA and Northwestern shouldn't be coming down the 4th quarter. Sure, UCLA may have been a let down after the Oregon loss but there's no excuse for this one.

I'm ready for a coaching change as much as the next guy. But there's been way too many player flubs: dropped punt, dropped passes, penalties, INT, etc. to expect a good outcome. They just seem at times to be unprepared, undisciplined, and unmotivated.

That falls on the coaching IMO
I unagree--they were completely unmotivated in the first 3 games--how'd Franlkin allow that?
The allegedly prepared for the onside kick and that was the execution? Why was Lane back out there on the next kickoff
They had all offseason to build a scheme around a power run game and play action passing and didn't.

NW has 1st & goal at the PSU 9:

1st: run for 1. Collins comes in to make the stop
2nd: stopped as we've reached the end of the 3rd qtr
2nd: incomplete pass
NW's WR is down -- looks to be a cramp
3rd: sacked by Fisher at the PSU 23!!!

Fisher and DDS were both after him. He tripped on his own, and then Fisher touched him.

41-yard FG attempt by NW ....

is good. 16-14, NW, with 14:08 left in the game

Probably shouldn't have said frustrated maybe more animated is a better choice of words 🍸

I am amazed, nay, flabbergasted at the PSU defensive players flexing and yelling when they make a play that they're being paid to make.

It’s comical seeing Allar “rack up” another set of below average stats (he’s made a career of it) yet be defended as if he’s really Peyton Manning saddled with a supporting cast and coaching staff that are a combination of F Troop and the Three Stooges. The coaches and the teammates may be lousy and deserving of those monikers, but Allar is a combination of Corporal Agarn and Shemp. Yes, I’m old — Google the references if necessary. Translation: The coaches and the OL and receivers may not be good, but neither is Allar.

NW's KO is into the endzone. the PSU returner (Hotzworth) starts to take a knee, then elects to run it out, and is tackled at the 9.

that's beyond idiotic

I mean... it's an intentional comedy revue, right? That's the game plan? Like, it's become the Chicago White Sox? "How pathetic can we make this?"

9-16 for 63 yards and an INT is pretty below average in this day and age. It might have been acceptable the first year of the forward pass.
