I think this is the case. He’s checked out.
He never checked in after Oregon.
I'm ready for a coaching change as much as the next guy. But there's been way too many player flubs: dropped punt, dropped passes, penalties, INT, etc. to expect a good outcome. They just seem at times to be unprepared, undisciplined, and unmotivated.
As a coach you either coach it or permit it. After years of dumb personal fouls, clear whatever message is being sent isn’t received.

Stellar tackling yet again. Glad Franklin and company make them practice that every week. 🤮 Hate to see them if they didn’t.

The tackling alone is proof this coaching staff can’t correct even the most basic fundamentals. You can forget “elite”.

Isn't that the coach responsibility?

TD, NW, on a run. He was stopped, but breaks through Gilliam.

NW is going for 2.

NW with a run, and they are stopped well short. DeLuca with the stop (joined by other teammates)

22-21, NW, with 4:51 left in the game.

An 11 play drive by NW

Thanks for updates. I’m at Little League.

Don’t worry, we have Fraudklin‘s brilliant end of game coaching skills to assure the loss.

The Penn State defense has allowed 22 points to Northwestern.

Let's compare recruiting classes...

Michigan is the comp. They hired Harbaugh a year after Franklin? They recruit similarly too. Harbaugh took less salary for a time so he could stay. I still can’t believe they beat Penn State without a HC and without throwing.
