He was in two plays laters. Franklin is obviously a disciplinarian. If 36 sees the field again today …

Same garbage for 12 years.this team is so stupidly aggressive
I'm not watching the game. I'm watching Iu vs Oregon. I expect "same Ole, same ole" from PSU allowing Singleton to play and kill momentum. Poor coaching.
I will take him in a NYC minute and so would many others. We're not hiring someone approaching retirement. All for finding another coach but the calls for Cignetti are just odd.
Yeah but he is really a gusty player. You would think that in his 12th year 36 would exhibit just a bit of self control and discipline
I disagree. We don't have a single impact player on defense except for DDS and he disappears for large stretches of the game. The defensive tackles are too small and the linebackers outside of 24 do nothing.Too much talent on both sides of the ball to be in a slug fest with NW. UCLA sucks, but at least they have athletes.
Perhaps he shouldn't have DDS rushing the QB every down.$3 M/Year DC can't defend a screen pass against Northwestern.
Franklin is 3-3 vs Northwestern at PSU.Too much talent on both sides of the ball to be in a slug fest with NW. UCLA sucks, but at least they have athletes.
Same garbage for 12 years.
This is NORTHWESTERN - repeat NORTHWESTERN. Jesus H Christ, now we're screaming about their penalties and holding. This is past patheticThe B1G has so little respect for PSU and Franklin that they showed Franklin pointing out another NW holding penalty...the B1G official just looks at the ground and tunes him out.
In 4 years Allen has vastly improved while Singleton has taken a huge step backwardSingleton is not at Allen's level.
But it's not realistic at his age. No one is turning over a major program to him.I will take him in a NYC minute and so would many others.

We can't throw the ball and our best running back is still splitting time.
We're not good. Average at best.
But it's not realistic at his age. No one is turning over a major program to him.
I can't remember the last time holding was called in the B1G. It's like a policy now. Now holding calls will be allowed."It looks like Northwestern got away with a hold on the edge..."
Them and every other team, on almost every snap of the ball. Holding is not a serious penalty in the B1G.
I would take him right now for as long as he can coach, then figure out what comes next. But it's not realistic at his age. No one is turning over a major program to him.
He is 64 not 94 for Pete's sake. He could easily coach another 7-10 years effectively... I would bet many programs approach him. If I am FSU or UF I am talking to him without a doubtBut it's not realistic at his age. No one is turning over a major program to him.
Can we hire Cignetti ASAP
Right--at 64 no major program is hiring him--we'll see what happensHe is 64 not 94 for Pete's sake. He could easily coach another 7-10 years effectively... I would bet many programs approach him. If I am FSU or UF I am talking to him without a doubt
Cuban's money helps lolWhat the heck is he doing that he can get his guys playing like this?
He coaches and motivates... You see him with that energy and passion ripping the refs with that missed pass interference call? When was the last time Franklin showed any emotion other than standing there with his arms crossedWhat the heck is he doing that he can get his guys playing like this?
That's really not the issue lol"Well, a low passing number for Drew Allar in that first half..."
They have no confidence in their starting quarterback.
Good then maybe he’ll come cheap!Right--at 64 no major program is hiring him--we'll see what happens
It's way more likely we'd hire someone half his age than him.

You don‘t know until you ask. You put up a lot of roadblocks in your way of thinking. Why would he leave?
