I'm not sure it's the 2015 Champ, if it's because I'm getting old or just plain dumb but I'm really not overly worked up right now. I trust K and Duke to a fault I think. That's not gonna change. Something inside tells me we still have some blood and breath left...... I enjoy Duke basketball entirely to much to just give up on a season. This builds character in everybody involved. We will get better, and there will be good times coming.

And my Duke flag will fly just as high tomorrow as it did the day after the Championship seasons!!!!!!

Duke isn't done yet, despite what THR might tell you

GO DUKE

I'm trying to stay positive but when you look at the next 8 - 10 games, It only gets worse from here.

I told myself to take a breath. We are the 2015 national champions, we lost 3 of the best freshman I have seen in my 30 years of loving Duke Basketball, and we are playing with 6 guys one of which should still be playing high school basketball.
We could also be the cheat holes who hopefully have sanctions coming soon!
I am a spoiled Duke fan and have been for those 30 years!

Allowed to vent with no judgement or someone else questioning the rant? Unusual for this forum but i'm in.
Deep breath - why no adjustments at all to the obvious issues on defense....dont care if the players are terrible on offense, add a larger body to rebound - at least give it a try for more than 2 mins. Ingram...NBA lottery pick? I dont see it, he's a perimeter player who shoots 45% at best...he needs to be forced to play more as a slasher or at the basket...we have outside shooters ( just not Matt...cheap shot but couldnt resist after today s game!)
This class has disappointed and its not all down to Amile being hurt - the fight and pride isnt there ( excluding MP) that we are used to seeing with Duke teams. Cameron used to be a fortress, now any team knows they can beat us there...and if this team doesnt get mad at that thought then they are doomed to fight to make the NCCAT.
OK...done....thank you and good night

I don't know what it says about me, but I'm just not as aggravated as I thought I would be.
I'm just going to pull like hell for our guys and let the chips fall where they may.

This is where i'm at because of what we have coming in next year. Also, a poor season means grayson most likely stay., i can hope.

I guess for me it's hard to get mad because just 9 months ago Duke won the title. I just know I'll continue to watch and support no matter the outcome. Go Duke!

To be honest, yeah I'm frustrated with the way that we've been playing but I'm not really that upset. We knew that we were going to struggle with Amile out. The fact that we only lost one game with him in the lineup shows just how important to this team he is and I honestly believe that if he would've been in the lineup for these last three games that we could've won all three of them or possibly only lost one of them.

I'm with you not sure why. Maybe number 5 gave me some sort of inner peace. But my hatred for UNC and Kent still rages. As long as neither one of them dances in April I'm good

I used to throw stuff and lose sleep and be ticked the whole next game. I'm good this year, I didn't expect as much, but still I guess I'm getting more mature. I love Duke so very much, but it's not all there is to life. Wake up tomorrow its a new day, I'm happy and ready to go. God loves me, I have a job I enjoy, a great group of family and friends, and I'm getting married in June. Don't sweat things that don't affect you personally. ....never thought I'd feel this way during a Duke loss...:)

Just not that frustrated yet. Close losses. These guys are fighting till the end, not giving up, not hanging their heads, not pouting like some past teams we have had. I'd be a lot more pissed off if I thought these guys didn't give a **** and were jus auditioning for the NBA.

Upset yes.... Then again the last four losses have seen this team come back and each game has had the chance to win. I like their character and at some point the law of averages will level this out... Perhaps in March.

Get Amile back, things will be verrrrry different.

Just a bump in the road. At 72, I have seen this a number of times over the years. Things will get better when Amile gets back, I hope. At least Duke won't be the one vacating wins sometime this spring. I still have faith....

We're gonna lose some games, get Amile back in mid Feb & improve immensely. Enter tourney as 7 or 8 seed & top seeded team will not be happy. Remember UK few years back?

OldasdirtDevil,

This. Just can't really see any reason to "vent" over where we are. The kids are playing hard and it's not like they are being routed, they are just limited in both size and depth. It is frustrating for us as fans, but think about what they are going through, and they still keep battling.
We have to remember the parity there is in College BB right now, and also to look at others that are struggling: Kentucky, Virginia, Michigan State (not what you would call losing programs).
Personally, I love this team and these kids, and wherever this season takes them, I think I will ride it out with them.
Go Duke!!

This is a young not very physical team that is going to get used to playing "grown men teams", once healthy (Jefferson) and they become better adept at forcing their style should see a noticeable turnaround. Honestly, will be very tough during tournament time, when refs generally keep their whistles in their pockets and skew the game away from our strengths. The team in general plays very hard and competes and is enjoyable to watch regardless of wins and losses. Overall this will be a successful year...trust me!

Check out @laurakeeley's Tweet:

For one, we don't know that wasn't the initial plan.

For the first time all season, I felt like last night Brandon was really disrupted by Syracuse's size. And I don't mean length, I mean physicality. He seemed to balk at contact with Roberson and Coleman.

He flashed to the FT once early in the game and flat out dropped the pass for a turnover. I agree, with the tweet that I think he should have flashed to the FT line all game but maybe coaches felt he wouldn't do well with the physicality in the paint.

I gotta say, this season I haven't been too stressed out about Duke. I think it's mainly because of last year winning (I guess it made me soft), plus the Panthers are the best in the NFL right now (and my only hope for them each season is that they just make the playoffs).

This Duke team somehow reminds me of about 10 years ago, but it didn't seem like we had near the talent or incoming prospects back then. But just seeing how we quickly turned it around with NTs in 2010 and 2015, it doesn't make me worry. Even last year's team had a little slump mid-season. I'm just hoping this team will make a decent NCAA tourney run. I think if that happens, we all forget these 3 losses real quick.

Appreciate all the good feedback guys, and the "physicality" thing is quite plausible.I agree Brandon would have been the guy.Regardless I repeat we're so close despite Amile's absence. Pretty soon we need to win a couple these gutwrenchers I feel so the squad BELIEVES IN ITSELF at game's end...Confidence has to be shaky at best I would surmise right now....

A win in that "house of horrors" would do WONDERS for these guys Saturday!!

We have to make the tourney first. It is a real possibility we dont get to 20 wins. Take a look at the schedule, unless things change it is going to be tough
