I 17 ing hate it when MY team is the one playing though. It's too much damn trouble to make the logistics work on a normal week, and I'd much rather spend time with family and relax on a holiday. I'd love for those plans to include some couch time with my old man watching some college football, but I'd much rather watch some obscure game where some other program whored themselves out so I can be lazy and sort of care about their game while I pass out from a turkey and pecan pie induced coma.

Loved the Thu night Egg Bowls! Went to every one with my OM brother and those are very good memories. Would be worth flying from CO to attend.

Basically just don't usually feel like devoting the day to football on Thanksgiving and don't feel that the publicity is all that valuable. I don't feel that strongly about it though. This is different from my objection to non-holiday Thursday games, which is based on my objection to the interruption of the class day not to mention the giving up of a Treasure that's known as Football Saturday in the patch.

watch our game, and I'm the only fan of either school there, though my dad sort of follows us because of me. My family is 12ish hours away from either school, so when I go home for Thanksgiving I can't make the Thursday or Saturday game, as long as it's Thanksgiving weekend. Plus they kind of like to see me for a few days since we live so far apart. And there are lots of fans like me, who travel to see their parents and can't go to either. So for us, Tgiving night is awesome. And everyone watches it. People will watch any college football, especially when there's only one game on.

As a student I stayed and went to the game several times, and I seem to recall the stands being packed, so it's not like we lack for crowds.

We always play Mississippi after a bye week. Otherwise known as the Arkansas game.

i'm in favor of a 3 AM kickoff, so all our family-first fans can still see the game without it disrupting from most of their family time...

or do folks tend to get up before 6 am to maximize their family time on thanksgiving?

Otherwise I wouldn't want to pack up and travel for the game after eating myself into a Thanksgiving coma
