there aren't enough minutes to go around my friend. this team is stacked.
I agree and am pumped up. The way he decommitted and we never really found out why didn’t sit right with me even tho I reckon it’s not our business. I was just excited when he committed and equally bummed out when he decommitted. He would have played a ton of minutes so I’m still confused on that one. Idk even in Cals years if we had a guy committed as long as Lewis was and then just dip out like that but we are most definitely ok without him.

If I had to find one thing wrong with this offseason, and I don’t think this is a realistic complaint, it would be can he keep this many happy? This year isn’t the old yearly “we’re missing this or that in the lineup”.

Also, side note, it warms my heart I didn't have anyone ask what the S grade was......people of culture. Ahh.

I put him in S tier.

Would have been really nice to have included one serious established sharpshooter to take full advantage of all the mayhem our deep, long, skilled, and scrappy roster will be causing on offense. But Pope has to operate in the real world at a time when sharpshooters are basically the premier role (that power forwards were twenty years ago) and schools like BYU are dropping 5 mil on individual players. In my opinion Pope also has really had to do it all with far, far less than the twenty million many are claiming he had.

Considering what he was up against, what Pope delivered was easily S tier in my book.
The money is there trust. Our NIL is as good as shape as anyone's. Seeing all the studs we signed is an absolute NEON sign saying.... $$$$$ HERE

It doesn't bother me that you believe this. Not sure why it bothers you that I don't believe it.

Assuming the only way to score an "S" is to handpick your players, and every player you want signs to Kentucky, Pope has earned an A+. Far, far better than even the most optimistic among us could have imagined for his first full offseason.

We have a fantastic shot at a final four or #9. We have the talent. Lets go earn it.

If you gave him a C I would really like to hear the reasoning on that one. I honestly don’t get a B either, but a C is puzzling to me. My opinion is that he really couldn’t have done better with the portal and freshmen. I do think it’s a valid point we will have to see how he does in future seasons with high schoolers, although I think there’s ample evidence he will be fine there. Also, with the portal it’s just much less important than in years past.
its comical how people are STILL questioning this mans ability to connect and recruit players.. High school portal it doesn't matter he is proven his ability over and over.. This is NOT a worry in the least. Now if you have heard his interviews just because we don't offer/take a recruit people on here will say it is Pope can't recruit but in reality it most likely is that recruit does not fit with what Pope believes..

This. I don’t think it’s for lack of trying though. We went after several true PGs and they just went elsewhere.

I think it’s gonna be that way going forward though. PGs are gonna be in high demand and very few are gonna want to be the backup anywhere.
The reason last year hurt was because we had nobody that could create off the dribble. He has at least 5 next year.
