low injury risk, nice dollars, good travel, and you've essentially mastered the ability to make it through 18 holes of the most frustrating sport without the help of a case of beer.
I used to love playing all 3. Damn broken bones, bad knees, and jacked up pitching shoulder. If not for those I'd still be playing.
You never have a night game.
You can stay in pretty good shape walking about 4 miles per round.
You get equipment for free that other people have to shell out hundreds of dollars for.
You can be a snappy dresser while you play.
You can play golf on the senior tours and such well into your 50s maybe early 60s. Of course I guess Favre is trying to prove that for football. So you can basically make money for a long damn time.
You also can choose what events you play in if you're good enough and not have to play every single game. All the major sports the good stars play 85-100% of the games their teams play. Tiger does not play in near that many PGA tour events out of the total number.
A good mix of power and speed. Plus I've always had a fondness for cannon arms like Vlad, Francouer, Clemente. I think it's because I was cursed with a 75 MPH fastball.
