The Tenn players are cleared to play now after what? a 6 or 7 game suspension.... For possession of guns and drugs... Then just thinking about Sidney... and how screwed up the **** is

I dont think the NCAA suspended them in the first place. UT did that. And UT decided to reinstate 2 of em.

For the record, Smith was the one with the guns and he is GONE from the program. And Williams is STILL SUSPENDED.

The 2 players that were reinstated took drug tests and passed. So it wasnt their drugs and it wasnt their guns. What the hell do you want them to be suspended for?

I suppose actual facts should be included in the thread.

You just yada yadaed thru actual facts. Events. Reality.

Yeah, it is a good thing the guns werent theirs...otherwise they would have been KICKED OFF THE TEAM LIKE TYLER SMITH WAS.

the NCAA basically certifies and polices eligibility. It allows the individual schools to discipline the players once they are in school.

We should be thankful- otherwise they would've suspended AD 11 games for his DUI this summer.

But I do agree with the original poster that it is messed up in a way.

Based on the punishment, this seems logical. However, I haven't seen any confirmation or listing of these 'facts'

i dont think riding around at 2:30 in the morning with 2 pistols and drugs is a good thing. You and I know that there is difference in hunting rifles and pistols with 18,19, 20 year old in possession that late at night. Oh well I was trying to make a point that Sidney and us = MSU are getting screwed for something we/they have NO proof of.

I agree we usually will get the short stick, but if there was no dirt, they'd just give up the bank records. Naivete seems to run rampant at convenient times
