Just looked at our depth chart and this offense only has 2 starting seniors. We will need to hit the portal hard for DL next year but returning fluff, Taylor, and 4 out of 5 OL.

Agree. Hard to see many leaving if he's staying. And could attract a couple of good incoming transfers.

KT needs to announce that he will return in his post game in interview after we beat Ole Miss in Oxford for us to finish 8-4 and knock Ole Miss out of CFP contention. We will need to sign 2-3 OL similar to Chester/Prudhome that can play immediately and several DL.

If we go 8-4 this season all of a sudden the players that nobody wanted last year will be prime targets for NIL funds. Our roster is going to be under assault the better we finish...that's the new reality.
I wish I knew the breakdown of university direct payment to players versus true NIL. As I understand it the cap for university direct payments is $21.5M for a roster. If our budget is $30M - $35M, did the university max out the allowable $21.5M? If not, I think next year you go all in, even if it means going in the red. I believe I have read that the OM football program has been in the red for a couple of years and I expect it will pay for itself with the success they have had.
Anthony Evans has been a huge key to success this year - his YAC is off the friggin charts. He's draft eligible next year I think. Lebby so far has shown a knack for finding talent at the receiver position.

I don’t see Fluff as a serious NFL prospect. If he finishes out a great season he’ll get some attention, but he seems like a guy who can make more money as a good college back as long as he is eligible.
True, but our system is going to churn out WRs. We got production from Kevin Coleman, Mario Craver, replaced them with Brennan Thompson, and replaced him with the best WR group in school history.

I think because of KT we'll definitely get looks from some guys that in the past we probably wouldn't have but at the end of the day you're still going to have to up the ante and compensate them well. They're not going to come for him alone.
It seems this is accurate. He’s not currently listed as even a Top 40 RB in the 2027 draft class. I’m guessing probably a measurable thing with his speed, because he has the size and vision.
In any case, if a non-NFL RB can have his current level of success in the offense, then I have very little concern moving forward with replacing him, anyway. I think the system will create the yards for the RB’s.
I think he might be able to make an NFL team because of his blocking. Quick Google AI says he's projected as a late round pick. Not sure how much we'd want to pay to keep him if we're already paying a QB and some WRs, and have some good young RBs coming up.
BTW, pretty sure we overspend at RB compared to the rest of the league. If other SEC schools are spending 10% of their NIL on that spot - we’re spending 20%.
NFL potential or no, he seems like a great fit for the situation he’s in. Seems very solid in pass protection, a competent receiver and a punisher on defenses that are tired from defending the tempo.
Hope we keep him as long as we can.
