Did anyone else hear Richard Cross lose his **** when "Jim" called in and said that Ole Miss would start 1-4? Hahahahaha TOTALLY lost his ****. Would pay to listen to again.

Little Richard might want to chill the 17 out after making a fool out of himself the last two seasons regarding their Vandy game. He has claimed there was no way Vandy would beat Ole Miss the last few years, and we see how that turned out.

I would love nothing more than for them to start 1-4 and then everyone on this board call into their show as "Jim", and ask Dick about his little tirade. I didn't even hear it but I just know how that tool sounds whenever he starts blowing a gasket.

If they start 1-4, they'll start 1-6.

TAMU & LSU are games 6 & 7.

Didn't hear the broadcast, but what's so improbable about OM losing to:

@ Vandy (they do it a lot, and Vandy is playing well under Franklin. OM has lost to Vandy 5 of last 6 years)
@ Texas (will be favored)
@ Alabama
@ Auburn (Malzahn back and they have better overall athletes. AU has Western Carolina after, so won't be distracted in prep. OM sandwiches this game with Bama & TAMU)
TAMU (Doubt we'll see OM enjoy a +4 t/o margin to keep it close)
LSU

Just where is there outrage? Vandy? Auburn? Not seeing it.

I had not even checked their schedule, but now that you posted it, I could definitely see it happening. I think they probably win against Vandy and Auburn though....but a loss to one or both wouldn't shock me. It would make me smile real big, but not shock me.

Richard has issues he needs to get help with

CFN rates each team prior to the start of the season by position on a scale of 1 to 10. Here is this year's assessment which suggests the team's are evenly matched on paper.

Ole Miss

QB - 7
RB - 7.5
WR - 7.5
Oline - 7

Dline - 8.5
LB - 8.5
DB -6.5
ST - 6.5 (Average position rating = 7.4)

Vandy

QB - 6.5
RB - 7
WR - 8
Oline - 7.5

Dline - 7
LB - 7
DB - 8
ST - 7.5 (Average position rating = 7.3)

I pick Ole Miss to win simply because I refuse to believe any SEC team could actually be Vandy's doormat to the degree we would observe if the Rebs lose yet aGAIN, and because the raw talent in their current class could make the difference in terms of depth, especially late in the game. But, with Vandy's recent swagger they are now expecting to win instead of simply hoping they're still in the ballgame late in the 4th. It will be sold out and rowdy (for a Vandy game).

Didn't hear that part of the show, but I did hear the very last part of their interview with Kyle Veazy regarding the compliance emails and the public records request. Just before they signed off with Veazy, Cross says, "Well, if you decide to sue Ole Miss, we would like to talk to you again." Veazy says, "I'm sure you would." I almost hit the curb with that response.

If I'm an OM fan, I'm hating the schedule.

They may be a better team this year, but that schedule's arrangement blows. They could very easily get off to an awful start.

I think we would beat Vandy. They just have Ole Miss number. I think with the coaching change we will see our defense be a lot better then what people are thinking. Even with the young reciever corps I think our offense will be more productive then last year against the better teams. It is hard to answer your question. I think we would be 2-3 or 3-2 with that schedule. Texas just hasn't lit the world on fire in the past three seasons. I don't know how fast of a turnaround Auburn will have. I think their defense will put up a good fight all year because of the DC. I do think our offense will match well against them. It's their Offense that is going to be hard to judge. You would think they have talent but the QB situation could be bad. Alabama is going to be Alabama. Take Johnny Football away from A&M they were a six or seven win team last season. With all his brain farting during the off season. You have to wonder where his head is going to be. I think A&M could have a set back year.

then you missed matt doing exactly the same thing to that same guy a week or two back. they both need to take their meds and chill.
ETA probably might be a good idea to not let "jim" call in anymore.

If its Jim from Corinth, he calls everyday and gives Dick the sandy drawers just about every time.

A lot of people like to ***** about how we're treated by the SEC. But the SEC bent UM over and reamed them out on this fall's football schedule. 3 straight road games to open the SEC schedule at a time they already had a road game scheduled against Texas. There's just no excuse for that.

The worst part to me is the 6 straight at home. As a fan, I would be tired of going for 6 straight weeks.

at the same time, the sec did them a favor....they should be visiting college station, but they get aTm in oxford. it could have been worse. if they pull their usual business against vandy, they are screwed.

Yeah. That's definitely going to hurt their attendance. At least there's an off week in there so it's not 6 straight weeks of driving to Oxford, but it's still ridiculous. We all know there's no way in hell the SEC would treat one of the higher profile schools like that.

I'm pretty pumped they head to Starkville after 6 home games.

It will have been awhile since they played in a hostile environment. That will definitely play to our advantage.

Also, if they don't make it out of those first 7 with at least 3 Ws, the fans are going to have a hard time getting fired up about a stretch of Idaho, Ark, Troy, and Missouri.

They're also going to Alabama for the 2nd year in a row so it balances out. Doesn't really matter where they play either Bama or A&M anyway.

bad caller....

What Jim does is call in and makes a horses *** out of himself on a regular basis. He comes across as unintelligent and is an embaressment to msu fans. i wish he would stop calling.

I see them at 5-6 or 6-5 heading into the Egg Bowl. They'll reel off 4 straight after the LSU game.

Swing games are definitely Vandy and Auburn, but Auburn will be tough to stop offensively. Their whole offense was recruited around Malzahn's offensive strategy and I expect they'll score a boatload of points.

The worst part to me is the 6 straight at home. As a fan, I would be tired of going for 6 straight weeks.
