He is actually a pretty nice guy. Grew up in Tylertown, grew up a State fan too (that's why he said he was so hard on the Ole Miss fans). Some LSU and Auburn fans got his mother's home phone number and were calling her with death threats. That's why he said he took the videos down.

Oh well, I think it was pretty mature of him to take them down and apologize.

I mean, the guy is obviously being deliberately obnoxious and mocking the whole hair swoope thing, etc. He is obviously trying to be funny and while it could be partly his actual personality, he is obviously assuming a fake personae. How the hell can you get all fired up about someone who is essentially acting?

and he's actually not a bad guy. He was really polite and nice to everyone around him. He's just a kid that's passionate about Alabama football as well as Mississippi State football.

was a super polite guy. We all joked and cut up and was never any problems. It is truly an act and I cannot believe some would take it as to throw beer on the guy or death threats.

Amazing.

When I talked to him he was saying nothing but nice things about how much Starkville had improved. Of course, he was standing on the corner surrounded by State fans but the guy seemed to be pretty cool so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. He also told me most people think he is a complete toolshed and he just does that for his character in the videos. He told me he was really not like that.

I still think he would be a toolshed if I talked to him for more than 5 minutes.</p>

It is a shame people took him WAY too seriously. It was fun to watch.

And so was our guy's preemptive response for the Bama game.

Weren't you the one who called him a *** in the earlier thread? Something about him having bodyguards out at the bars? So he was a decent guy and a *** at the same time? Did he alternate between personalities during conversation? Just sayin'...

They said when Eli was at Ole Miss he talked about how much he loved us nonstop.

I don't really care about his videos, but if you've genuinely cheered for 25% of SEC teams, you're a douche.

and was pretty damn funny. I'm disappointed that he had to stop. Anyone that couldn't see that jtbowtie was just a character that Fortinberry created to be funny and entertaining is a complete idiot, and the real douche.

mind boggling how some of these people are flying to Courtney Love's defense. I'm sure these are the State fans that were getting their pictures taken with the guy.

I'm sure he meant well, but that was one of corniest videos I've ever seen. Put that **** on TBN. I guess when you realize you're living in a "dark world" you don't need sunglasses anymore? He could've stayed the course and been fine. Ignorant people who reacted poorly will only find something else to react poorly to. JTBowtie coming full circle isn't going to change a damn thing. He obviously felt the need to share his revelations with everyone else, but... (hand job motioning)

I mean, that cheesy music in the background? Really??? I think he might've been doing that a little tongue in cheek. Could be wrong, though.

"I still think he would be a toolshed if I talked to him for more than 5 minutes."

Otherwise, I don't believe I ever said anything about bodyguards. If I did then call me out. It's been a long weekend so maybe so.

and I couldn't take anything a guy who does youtube videos seriously. However, what is wrong with him saying that he's realized how much more important his faith, family, and doing something good in society than football? Frankly, while I am a MSU fan and alumnus, I find less and less importance in MSU sports teams and their success or failure every day.
