TCU returner moves his arm for a potential "fair catch" signal then returns the punt for a TD. Not reviewable, but refs decide he gave an "invalid fair catch signal" and bring it back to the spot of the catch. Or something along those lines. It would have tied the game up.

I'm rooting for a TTech, so I like it. I'd be outraged if that **** happened to us though. They probably got it wrong.

TCU just got Ewscrayed....

the Texas Tech dropped the ball 1/2 yard before he reached the end zone. Should've been a touchback, TCU ball. Tech got lucky.

Rule book isn't very specific on invalid signals.

It leaves a lot of room for interpretation. I'm okay with the call. His hand went above his shoulders and waved the. From my couch, I don't think he was intending to signal fair catch. From field level, I could see a defender seeing that and thinking it could be one.

The worst call was the kick catch interference on tcu. He was jumping from back 2 yards away to 3 yards away. Plenty of room to make the catch. There was even a tech player between him and the punt returner.

Remember, it was bumphis or Perkins a few years ago waved his arms in front of him to get defenders out from in front of him.... Got flagged for it.

High school rules imply an invalid signal is any signal other than the correct one. I'm pretty sure waving your arms in any other way besides over your head will get flagged. Our crews back judge tells returners that, anyway.
