Aren't OSU's players vaccinated? I guess that didn't matter.

Hope we can find a legit opponent to reschedule and play. The only issues is little time to gameplan against them...but knowing Cal he will just use the OSU gameplan and hope it works against whoever we play.

Because it’s the biggest crock of **** that in the world.

This is NEVER going away, ever, vaccinated or not.
Two choices, live life, or this is the new normal. If people haven’t been vaccinated by now than they don’t want to.

And it doesn’t matter if you get vaccinated, most all these players are, and they’re still cancelling games because of it. This is a respiratory virus. Just like the flu, you’ll have to get a shot at least annually, or just take your risk with it. It’s not something that will be eradicated. As you said, we’re just going to have to deal with it.

Yeah it’s an absolutely crock of ****. I’ll be sure to tell that to my dad who passed away last year of covid before the vaccine came out. And my mom who is still experiencing symptoms.

That’s not an answer to my question but okay.

vaccinated people can still contract another form of covid. If you get the flu vaccine you can still get the flu the next year. I was vaccinated in April 2021 and I contracted covid in Aug 2021 and as a result of vaccination I experienced low level symptoms and was not hospitalized. As someone who contracted covid I could still pass it on to those who were unvaccinated. Testing people after they’ve been vaccinated absolutely makes sense.

and I’m not a lay person either. Im a project manager for clinical trials at the 3rd largest Pharma company in the world. I work specifically on trials involving vaccinations in developing nations (not covid). Epidemiology is a huge part of my job. I don’t ever believe in forcing people to make decisions about their healthcare (goes against the very principles of good clinical practice) but You can think it’s a crock of **** but I assure you it’s very very real.

Right, but if a team has a flu outbreak they cancel games and practices. I think it's save to assume that ohio state has a bunch of guys infected. Not one or two.

It does matter....they won't die or end up in a hospital. They're very fortunate to have the vaccination.

I feel like we are beyond quarantining people who positive people come in contact with.

Its weakening big time. New variant so far is less deadly than the common cold. That’s what happens with virus’ like these. Unless we mess it up by putting out rushed and bad vaccines that alter the natural course of the virus.

We might be as fans. But the universities have a responsibility to their students and their families, and to their state’s public health rules. Much bigger decision. You have rules around this stuff and can’t make exceptions for one big name school or big game.

I don't think athletes with the body of Gods are at much danger of that anyways but I digress. Natural immunity and vaccinations combined are definitely the ones with the strongest immune and I am one of those.

If people don't get their **** together the fans in the stands are going to be limited again. Get vaccinated!

Welcome to Earth, have you missed the past 18 months? Yes everything about COVID has been treated differently. You shouldn't be surprised at this point.

I don't know if I'd make that assumption, but I don't know if OSU required players to be vaccinated so I could be wrong. Cal said he was having trouble getting our players to get flu shots, so I think it's likely that a lot of college players are unvaxxed unless required to be.

Yes and I got it despite being fully vaccinated and got my booster shot about 5 weeks ago.

Currently on day 8 of 10 of being isolated at home after testing positive and having some minor symptoms.

I would still very much encourage vaccination and getting boosted due to it at least suppressing symptoms and keeping people out of the hospital and morgue, but it’s bad out there right now with all of these variants and ****.

Have to eventually reach a medium with this stuff.
