Its weakening big time. New variant so far is less deadly than the common cold. That’s what happens with virus’ like these. Unless we mess it up by putting out rushed and bad vaccines that alter the natural course of the virus.
It wasn’t vaccine development that was “rushed”. The general principle of mRNA vaccines and the mechanism of action has been clearly understood for many years. It’s the regulatory process that was rushed (rightfully so) which expedited delivery of the vaccine.

when large groups of people (esp those immunocompromised) are not vaccinated, the viral load can increase in their bodies allowing the virus to mutate. That’s why you see delta omricon etc. this will go on until we reach herd immunity. Think of the vaccine like a ring placed around a house in a neighborhood during a fire. Eventually if enough houses have a ring around them, the fire has no where to spread and naturally dies off. Now here lies the rub, unless people in other countries have the same rates and access to vaccines as we do in the United States, it all doesn’t matter since they can have the virus mutate over there as well…unless we isolate ourselves.

How come in college football this would be a forfeit but college basketball it’s a cancellation? What the hells going on around here makes you wonder why you didn’t see any college football games canceled this year hmm

I'd agree, but a lot of sports are dealing with this.. both the NFL and NBA are having HUGE spikes in COVID cases.. it's just the time of year, I guess. Everyone is indoors.

I don't know if this is fact or not, but it was explained to me that in college basketball, if the game never starts, its a cancellation, but if they tip off and for some reason one team can't finish, then its a forfeit. IDK for sure

Absolutely not. It’s ridiculous at this point. If they are still testing people that are fully vaccinated to allow them to compete in a sporting event, we are gonna be dealing with this the rest of our life’s regardless of vaccine status.
That also tells me the vaccines aren’t as good as they are making them out to me. (I’m vaccinated and happy I am btw)

It does matter....they won't die or end up in a hospital. They're very fortunate to have the vaccination.
🤣

Oh, boy. You live in a fantasy world. You're in for a rude awakening when you stop relying on the Pfizer-sponsored media.

Might want to check out the VAERS data of how many have died from the vaccine not to mention, you're still spreading it and getting it.

If people don't get their **** together the fans in the stands are going to be limited again. Get vaccinated!
Oh ffs….

The whole damn OSU team is vaccinated. They still got it.

You can’t stop the virus. That’s proven. You can control the reaction for yourself by being vaccinated(as I am), but you can still get it…still spread it.

The sooner we learn to live with it and quit letting the government and tv doctors control our lives, the better.

For make up opponents that would actually be exciting, all but 4 top 25 teams are already playing Saturday. The ones that aren’t:

-9 Villanova (plays @Creighton Friday night)
-11 Iowa State (plays SE Louisiana at home Sunday)
-12 Michigan State (plays Oakland Tuesday)
-17 Texas (plays Stanford in Vegas Sunday)

My guess is they’re talking to Michigan State and Texas.

How do you type so well with your face shield and masks in the way?
Shame on you for mocking people who care enough about their fellow Americans to do what is needed to save lives. I was raised Christian, and I will continue to do what is necessary to protect those around me, no matter how much you try to insult my Christian values.

Talk of a UK/UNC matchup. If they do they wouldn’t have to play it in Vegas. At this moment Carolina plane hasn’t departed yet. I would like to see them play. They have lots of commonalities.
Why wouldn’t UNC still be playing UCLA?

Has the UCLA/North Carolina game been cancelled for sure?
It has not yet, but after UCLA cancelled their game last night it sure sounds unlikely that UCLA will be able to play this weekend. UNC has already left for Vegas. So they will be there ready to play someone on Saturday in a nationally televised game on CBS.

Why in the world woukd they not play it in Vegas when both teams already have fans who have made the trip there to see their respective games?

Many were hospitalized, yes. Some are still dealing with long term Covid issues.

What is many for 18-22 year old college athletes? Do we have stats? I know for that age range overall the amount of deaths and hospital visits are not very high. I would imagine those that did go are the very obese ones or ones with underlying health conditions (18-22 year olds in general, not athletes).

On a separate note, the cases are up because of this Omnicron variant that Fauchi tells us isn't that bad but there are so many cases and people still dying. If this same variant had come out last year in 2020 I have a feeling it would have been considered a bigger deal.

Where did Christian values enter this conversation .. did I miss something ? wearing a mask is a Christian virtue or something ? , as a believer I find that downright ridiculous .
