Some weeks the Buckeyes look like Alabama is the only team in the country that belongs on the same field with them. Then they'll go out and just look mediocre and disinterested. Hard team to figure out.

Michigan' Sts field condition has helped negate some of their speed advantage AND OSU IS ACTUALLY GETTING CALLED FOR HOLDING. The little bit I've watched of their game today the penalties have cost them some big plays.

Agree. If you're inside a minute left, I can see it. But why not tie the game, put the pressure on OSU, and try to get the ball back? Made no sense to me.

Made ZERO sense. With that much time you kick the PAT. They've been even with OSU for most of the game. Stupid.

Two minutes to go and Sparty has the ball at their own 20. It is possible. Maybe leaving OSU up by a point was a good thing? They weren't very offensive on offense because they were playing it safe being up by one and trying to run the clock.

Nevermind...... Going for two looks really stupid now!

Thought process was that his defense was playing well and going for 2 gave his squad 2 chances to win. Once in the PAT one on the fg try after holding Ohio state. Not saying it was the right call but much better to try it with 4 minutes left than with 1 minute left.

Of course it looks brilliant if you make it, but I thought going for two made things too easy for Ohio State. Instead of genuinely trying to score in those last four minutes, all they really had to do was pick up a couple of first downs and punt it deep. I'd rather tie the game and put some pressure on OSU.

And even if MSU makes the two-pointer, it's not like the game is in the bag. That's why I think it's a better play inside of 1:00 than with 4+ minutes left.

I didn't mind the call. As mentioned his team was a long shot anyway and it was a chance to have the game in their hands. As mentioned if they got the ball back, a fg wins either way. Of course hindsight but I liked it and would have if that was my team in that situation.

Play call for XP was questionable, based on success of drive. Pocket passer?
