I do think that the coach was overboard. Love live Morganna!!!

I actually did watch a E:60 segment on her over the weekend. I frankly wish we still had some of that in sports. She was hilarious. One of the funnier things I have seen in recent memory was the 3 chicks at the CWS during the championship games. They were hilarious. I hate that the douchebags at the MLB game a few years ago seemed to have ruined that. I still remember some streakers during some of our games in the 80s and 90s.

The tasing (that happened at a MLB game a couple of years ago) and the OSU coach were way overboard. Do not expect you to not get a ticket and possibly arrested but a body slam from a roid rager is not the answer.

I don't know,

I'm of the opinion "don't do stupid things, and stupid things won't happen to you" or something like that...

Don't want to get taken down by a coach/player, then don't run onto the field and run around like an idiot.

I'm sure this kid violated some sort of student "code of conduct" or what not.

The scholarship he was on is not a university scholarship. It is funded by a private organization. I'm sure they have some sort of conduct policy attached to the scholarship, such as don't make an *** out of yourself on national tv and get charged with a crime. He obviously didn't live up to their code of conduct so therefore, they pulled his scholarship. I don't feel sorry for him.

I don't 'necessarily' disagree. I think that just because you do do something stupid, you do not really have to be broken in half or assaulted. Being stupid can be just laughed off and moved on from. This was a case where, I think, the coach took it upon himself to be a douche. Just my opinion. I do agree that when you do something stupid you cannot really complain.

When you run onto a field of play you forfeit the right to determine the amount of force with which you are removed. Sorta like Chris Rock saying if the cops have to chase you they're bringing an *** whipping with them.

I agree it looks overly aggressive but the kid is still laughing after being body slammed.

If the coach is reprimanded and initiatives are put in place to be gentle with randoms on the field of play, what happens the next time when it isn't a streaker or prankster and instead is someone wanting to cause harm? I realize that hasn't happened before but people wanting to do harm look for areas where we are relaxed in our security. So, it easily could happen.

I think anyone who could be a threat to those who are part of the process for entertaining us should be assumed as dangerous. Don't end up on the field if you don't want to be treated like a would be criminal.

This is why it's not fun and games when someone runs onto a field of play. You never know which one is the crazy one who's going to stab someone or worse. So yeah, expect to be treated roughly if you run onto a field of play. One ******* ruined Monica Seles's tennis career when he stabbed her in the back during a changeover.

Rick Monday is the Dodger that stole the flag back from the hippie in the land of fruits and nuts. As for the OSU student, wish Dillon Day had been around to finish the job on him and his Costa's

I guess

I'll just agree to disagree. I don't think the coach acted out of hand whatsoever. The kid ran onto the field of play (not permitted), disobeyed commands to stop (not permitted), and was discontinue from displaying that behavior. If he didn't want to get thrown down, then he should have 1) not ran onto the field or 2) complied with commands to stop.

It all boils down to my original point. If the kid didn't want to rock bottom'd, then he would have sat his *** in his seat. Do I think the coach was over-aggressive? Possibly, but the kid was to blame for that.
