Do we have a chance in hell to land Quay or Ward? I assume the only quality Olineman in Gaines? Good God I hate being a State fan.

I'd be shocked if Ward doesn't end up at Bama. He's a beast and will win a national championship with them.

that we are 99% sure can come in and contribute in the 2012 season. Does everyone realize that next year our SR OL will be a fragile (if he can get recovered) Tobias Smith and Hardy. Our JR OL will be Gabe Jackson and Watts and maybe Trapp (assuming he redshirts). That means we will have ONE, yes I said ONE, upperclassman OL that has played SEC ball (Jackson) that we can hopefully count on to be healthy. We will have a number of RSo and RFr but that's WAY too much load to put on the underclassmen. I can't believe we've let ourselves get into this predicament with the OL. We only think there is an issue this year but next year after Saulsberry, Lawrence and Carmon are all gone we will REALLY be in a pickle.

I will be suprised if Watts and Hardy are still on scholarship next year. Tobias Smith's career may be over. Trapp should be blocking for Ty Evans.

Next year's O-Line: Clausell, Jackson, Day, Robinson, Muniz....Ouch

We could have possible gotten a commitment from Donald Hawkins, JC OT, but we didn't persue him very hard so he committed to Ok. State.

As to the original poster's question, I expect us to sign Quay Evans, but not Channing Ward.
