Okay, seriously what's up with women's basketball?

as well as the Tittydawgs have started out this year, Memphis' women's team sucks and is no way, shape, or form "halfway decent". We beat them by 30 last year up here in Memphis.
The team was beyond awful a few years ago when it relied on freshmen. Now it's mostly juniors and seniors who have played together for a few seasons, and then adding the 3 JUCO players from the Congo is putting them over the top. In fact, Armelie Lumanu and Chanel Mokango have generally led the team in scoring every night.
I talked to the African trio and asked why they picked MSU over LSU or Rutgers, who both wanted them, and they were like "well another college wanted me, but I came to MSU first and liked it and I like coach G" (referring to assistant coach Greg Franklin, their former JUCO coach). We hired their JUCO coach from last year as well, and apparently they really don't fully comprehend the fact that players of their calibre are supposed to go to one about 10 teams in wbb. Anyway, very nice steal from Fanning.

We've beaten up a load of crappy teams, but in recent years, we've struggled to beat such teams. So there is a clear improvement. Can we compete with UGA, UTK and the like? That remains to be seen.
