I know, I know, they were behind 10 w/5 minutes to go and came back. That's not a good sign to be behind a team like that and have to come back to win it.

Let's project the entire season's results on a meaningless exhibition game!

Not saying we'll be world beaters this year, but I think the first couple of actual games that count are what you should start getting worried or excited about. Exhibition games are for tinkering with lineups, etc.

just like I wouldn't get too high regarding the first exhibition blowout. Coach Stansbury subbed 5 in and then subbed Augustus in at the 4 before he subbed the starters back in. Its pretty impressive that we can back and won considering how far we were down. OCU had IU transfer Jamarcus Ellis, a former JC player of the year who played lights out. They also had good players from Texas Tech, Illinois and some other big schools.

We did not play well. There were several times we digressed to one on one play with few passes. We stood aorund on defense some too (especially at the start of the game). However, we'll be fine.Varnado had another double double with 8 blocks. Brian Johnson played well too. Bost really turned it on at the end.

OKC only brought 7 players. During their first timeout, one of the bench players got the starters water. Never seen that before.

Things I noticed, but not overly concerned with since it was an exhibition:
1) Play was very ragged even for an exhibition game. So ragged, in fact, that I really can't even comment on who played well and who didn't.
2) If such records were kept, we would have set a school record for most shots missed within a foot of the basket.
3) Special thanks to the refs for the comeback. They played a major role. Crowd was quite enthusiastic for 2600 and being an exhibition.
4) Jarvis' blocks were very quiet. I was surprised to read the stat line and see the 8 blocks.
5) $3 drink cups keep getting smaller. Are soft drinks really that expensive?
6) Augustus still looks lost.
7) For the love all that is decent, please tell Phil Turner to stop shooting off his back foot.
8) This team has the athleticism to run. I don't know that this team is going to be able to shoot night in and night out.

Theres not enough senior leadership. The execution is poor. Hey, we coached a good game we just couldn't get the big play.
