I feel bad for Baylor though, but it looks like they might have one hell of a season.

I just don't see them fitting in to the SEC. But I don't know them terribly well to be honest.

..aTm's departure from Big 12 has placed the mighty OU in panic mode.

I thought OU occupied a segment of college football that is not available to mere mortals.

Yet here we have lowly aTm causing OU to piss their pants.

I think what's really going on here is the SEC has made secret overtures to OU to become the SEC's 14th team. And the politician-speak coming out of Norman seems to indicate that OU is beginning to set that in motion.

If we only go to 14 and the teams are aTm and OU, likely one west would move east (assuming Auburn). Would we rather have OU or the barn in our division... I'm thinking auburn.

The east would much rather pick up an ACC or BE team to beat up rather than get another one of the big 6, I'm sure.

The conference is about to get real tough, either way. Hell, if this breaks up the Texas10 for good, we may get Okie State begging over, the 16-team dominoes fall, and everything goes up into a nuclear winter of question marks and tears.

I think it is a sign we are looking to go to 16 teams. I would rather stay at 14 personally.

..flowing into the SEC.

Considering the SEC (the football SEC) is becoming one of the most powerful corporate entities in America, that's all that will matter to the movers & shakers cracking deals behind closed doors.

They just did a special on them on College Gameday and their defense is now using the landshark sign.

Hasn't OU said they won't leave without OSU? That would make sense, OU enjoys beating up on OSU.

OU 14th
OSU 15th
Missouri 16th

I hate it.

with the Big 12 falling apart and the musical chairs starting. The prospect of being left out of a conference by insisting on staying together may loosen that up. It seems to me that OU is a little rattled by aTm leaving. They are worried they will lose control of their own fate.

I think Missouri is better for us than Oklahoma, then go East for two teams. But it would take OU leaving to destroy the Big 12 and the Big 12 needs to fall for Missouri to start looking elsewhere.

Besides, we don't need another damn school in the Maroon/Crimson/Red and White area. We are full already.
