Down by 2 in the top of the 9th, Oklahoma State batter sitting first pitch fastball, literally yelled, "BOOM!" as he swung and immediately flipped his bat. 3-run homer gave them 1-run lead going into bottom of the 9th.
I don’t know why but the visual of that made me literally laugh out loud.Bat flips are cool. If I ever hit a home run, I would launch mine into the outfield, hammer-throw style.
If pitchers don't like bat flips, they should pitch better.

That's another thing I actually love about MLB baseball over NFL and NBA. Manners.Don't try that in the MLB, dude would get a fastball to the side next at bat and possibly a fight before he made it home...
No. I thought the same, but his name is Boone, not boom.Wait. The batter said his own name? This went from bad to worse. The bat flip wasn't actually that bad. It was more celebratory than disrespectful. Yelling his own name is just lame.
Eliminate the DH in the AL & the issue goes away, regardless of which side you stand.
^^I have no idea what my logic was at all here. Even I can't follow this. I'd give it a Dumpster myself if I could.

Hot take but intentionally hitting a player is no different than a sucker punch. I don't care how long these unwritten rules have been around its horse **** especially if someone is just celebrating.
