Oklahoma State's Resume...

So Rick Reilly just convinced me that if OSU routs OU (as they are currently doing) then they should jump Alabama for the #2 spot. Kinda hard to argue with:

Oklahoma State SOS: 10th
Alabama SOS: 38th
Oklahoma State: 5 wins over BCS top 25 opponents
Alabama: 2 wins over BCS top 25 opponents
Oklahoma State: Big XII Conference champs
Alabama: SEC West runners-up

So... with that said, I don't think that Alabama should get a rematch. It would be the most unsatisfying thing ever if Alabama somehow beat LSU by a touchdown or less. Would you really be okay with "crowning" Alabama? Give Oklahoma State a shot. Alabama already had theirs and could only muster 6 points at home. Okay... now bring on the hate...

Bama KILLS OSU if they play. LSU does too. The only hope for an interesting BCS game is LSU-BAMA.

DOWN WITH THE BCS! PLAYOFF NOW!

do an analysis on the outliers and anomalies related to the two schedules.... bama has defeated better competition and also has lost to better competition....<div>

Not sure that they've beaten better competition. I will give you that they've lost to better competition, but OSU's lost was a 2OT fiasco the day after several OSU women's basketball coaches died in a freak plane crash. Bama had their chance. If LSU beats them, then we get to see the same game we already watched. If Alabama wins, LSU is getting screwed since they would be 1-1 at that point, with LSU's win being at Bama. Give OSU a chance. Maybe they'll surprise everybody and keep it close.

I don't get this. Would it be more satisfying to crown LSU after they played each other twice and both barely won? Would it be more satisfying to crown OSU if they beat LSU after losing to Iowa State, while LSU had one of the most impressive years ever? <div>
</div><div>This is a year where every result besides LSU being unanimous national champion will feel strange. This is a year where even a playoff wouldn't feel right. But Alabama and LSU are the two best teams in the country, and they should play. In fact, I still think Bama is the best team in the country.</div>

Both Alabama's two top 25 would beat Ok State's five top 25. That's the bottom line. Human voter know that Alabama played a way tougher schedule and they will reward them.
