He's just abusing the Michigan D tonight. It's nice to have a big man with some offensive skills.

Best game he's ever played, hands down. Not even close. He was tough, which has been his weakness. Great rebounding, clutch shooting.

The one, ONE bone I have to pick with him is he NEEDED to dunk the ball when he got swatted in the 2nd OT. Other than that, game of the big man's life

I liked the "Olah" variation on the "Ole Ole Ole" chant. Have the fans been doing that all year? I never really noticed until tonight (sadly I only get to watch on TV these days).

What about that 3 point shot.

What about his defense?!!! It was a fantastic defensive performance...he caused at least a half dozen redirected shots for misses. This was by far his best game.

Yes we finally have the big man that we have wanted for years. Will the curse get him next year?

The only thing he screwed up was his free throw. Funny considering he is shooting over 80% from the free throw line in the Big Ten. Just a great game from Olah! His improvement has been tremendous.

My reaction from the other end of the floor was "no No NO NO! YESSSSSSSSS!!!" It caused the Michigan fan in front of me to burst out in laughter.

For me though, his best offensive play was the quick spin move immediately upon receiving the pass that led to a wide-open layup.

Also the reverse layup he pulled off I think late 1H. His footwork has gotten so much better (on both ends of the floor). He never would have been able to pull that off 2 years ago, or even at the start of this season. On offense I distinctly noticed on multiple occasions that 1) he is doing a way better job of fighting for and establishing position, and 2) he is doing a way better job of getting the ball up high, and making moves / decisions quickly - often just to put the ball straight up and in. He scored before help could arrive a number of times yday, and when it did get there he was much better at staying calm and swinging it back to the perimeter. At times he even re-posted and scored! While he didn't distribute that many assists directly from the post, him kicking it back outside with the simple pass and continuing the offensive set is a significant step of improvement vs earlier in the year where it would get stolen more often than not if he waited for the double team to arrive. An excellent game from him.

One thing I will say - we saw tremendous in-season improvement from Olah last year, presumably from the tutelage of James as people said. But then at the start of this year he seemed to have regressed some, was slower and less consistent than he was late last season. Now though he has again repeated that in-season improvement, and surpassed his peak from last year. I hope that they put together (and Olah commits to) a better program of practice / training / conditioning / weights / whatever for him this from end of year until the start of next season. Because if he can maintain the pace of in-season improvement through this offseason, or even just avoid regressing and start next year at this level, he could be a top-tier B1G center next year.
