First, Disney+ is legit if you have kids. Watched Old Yeller today for first time in like 30 years. For a movie that is 62 years old the animal fighting scenes are pretty remarkable. Fights with a bear, bull, hog and a wolf (that was really a German Shepherd).

Anyone remember this film?

Found some info about those scenes...pretty interesting stuff.

Fighting that kind of competition should have at least qualified him for "Badass of the Week".

Dated a gal a while back that didn’t cry when Old Yeller died. To top it off she also wasn’t washed in the blood of the lamb, never stood up for the star spangled banner and wasn’t a John Wayne fan. When she finally cussed in front of my grandma it was all I could take...she gone.

Great movie.

But..........was it worth it while it lasted? Had anyone cursed in front of either of my Grandmothers they would have been picking their teeth up from the floor.

I have never read it or seen it. I know, crazy talk.

Ribsy's adventures with Henry were far more interesting as a kid.

Remember watching it in school, that was on a tape, it would "beep" and the audio visual person would go to the next slide. And yes, fought hard not to cry in school at age 10, but it was tough.
