Rod Taylor got upgraded to a 5 star on 247. We only have four 4 stars. They have ten 4 stars and one 5 star. Hope Speaks and another one or two flip. Meanwhile we suck**

Freeze trades access to his program in return for recruiting ranking bump-ups like that one. Their class is better than ours though. No shocker there, been that way probably 9 out of the last 10 years.

I don't put too much energy worrying about beating them in recruiting by this

measure because it isn't likely to ever happen. I think when the dust settles it appears we both recruit pretty similar talent and the wins/losses in the modern era bare that out.

Went to Oxford callaway game and rod Taylor being a 5 star is laughable the only impressive one their was the safety the rest were not great at all.

All jokes aside I watched Callaway play an average Germantown team and

Germantown led the whole game until a busted coverage on the last play. Callaway looked very average and no one stood out as being a man among boys. I think Callaway did start playing much better as a team after that and did finish well.

I like** how everyone says they win or beat us in recruiting as if we were actually playing them in it. Wins are earned on the field, not in imaginary stars.

Forgot to mention I was with a lot of TSUN fans and even they were unimpressed with their commits

I have no idea how Taylor became the top player in the State much less a 5star prospect. Same with CJ Hampton.

I posted a while back that I thought this was the worse year of in-state talent I could remember, and I'll stand by that.

I will be absolutely shocked if Rod Taylor ends up in JUCO. Absolutely shocked.

Now, they didn't do much to help the WR/S from Calloway, so maybe there is some friction around JPS and/or Calloway and the people who get that sort of thing done. Maybe his grades were that hopeless - I dont know. Last I heard they didn't even place him at Co-Lin.

You can't be serious.
The Bear fans care more about recruiting stars and beating LSU, than beating us on the field.

That's why I used sarcastriks. I'm not worried I trust our staff.

LSU wants Speaks.
Bama wanted Hampton.
Rod Taylor concensus #1 plyer in the state.

I'm sure they are pretty good, and I disagree with the poster who said talent in the state is down. McKinney's class would disagree as it was rated similarly. Also ironic we got a guy no body knew of and now everyone wants in Brandon Bryant from same HS McKinney attended-Rosa Fort.

I disagree. You probably meant they were ranked higher 9/10. Better in 9/10, no.

Just for the record, the scouts raved about him at the high school all-star game. He pretty much dominated the top national talent all week and was the best OG there. Maybe all of the OGs in the nation suck, though...

As for Hampton, Nick Saban wanted him in the worst way, so I'll take that as decent evidence of his talent.

Dominated I tell ya. Everyone raved. Some of the scouts said he was so good that he could drink fruit punch powerade and piss environmentally friendly biodiesel.

Hell yeah. And CJ Hampton had the greatest season for safeties with one INT and one pass breakup in the history of safeties with one int and one pass breakup.
