Ole Miss AD wanting a rematch in a bowl?

He knows there is 0% of that happening so why not throw it out there? Notice all of their fans are saying "Yeah! We'd kick their asses!"

It's exactly like a UFC fighter or boxer who loses his belt immediately asking for rematch, knowing it won't happen for a year if at all (if not, the OTHER guy looks like a punk) and otherwise won't take back the TKO they just suffered on national TV.

Lame. Can you imagine having a healthy Dak and steamrolling them in a bowl though?

I also love how because they beat LSU in the Sugar Bowl and Alabama beat LSU in the BCS they would automatically win a rematch.

If this happens, we'll have beaten them 5 times in 5 years.

Will never happen, but it would be fun. With a healthy Dak, they would get embarassed.

Just like Freeze's "clarification" the OM AD is controlling the message.

Just what Sugar bowl was that? How long ago? I do not recollect them playing in the Sugar bowl since the 50-60's, last century.

I would love to see that happen, but it's just talk from Bjork. We would beat that team by three touchdowns with a healthy QB, and he knows it. No way he is dumb enough to let that happen.

We gain nothing except joy by beating them in the bowl. It doesn't help much in recrooting. It doesn't help us with national exposure. They gain a ton if they were to win.

The problem is that if we are actually offered, we basically have to accept. Otherwise we will look like bitches and the Rebel media machine will run with it hard.

I had a Bear tell me that they would have won by 3 TDs if the Egg Bowl were played in Oxford.

My reply, if Dak were healthy, it would not have mattered where the game were played and we would have won by 100. After all, Dak had 150 yards in about 7 minutes....that works out to be about 1200 yards in 4 full quarters.***

Apparently they did not notice what a still injured Dak who had not even practiced was able to do in about 8 minutes of work. Give us a month to get him healthy and it would be an epic slaughter that would warrant billboards as far as the Ukraine.

I see your point, but I think beating them would help us every bit as much or more than beating a team like Rutgers or Cincinnati. Right now they are spinning this loss hard. We beat them again like we should with a healthy quarterback, and there is no spinning it. Any momentum they have gained is gone. The shine is off the Freezus.

Hahah... Ignore the "actual" game... Let's talk about how we would beat you if we played again.

Classic ole miss. What really happened is irrelevant. What maters is what we " think" would happen. Explains why they love recruiting so .... It's about what they " think" will happen.

I guess we just have to keep playing until they win. Then they get to say " I told you so."

It's like dealing with a 7 yr old

I think the guy is joking.

Either way, you know the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for.....".

And I had all my bear friends saying the Egg Bowl was our Super Bowl? Now it looks like it actually is there's since they want it in the post season.

I guess we could play Cowart. To even up the teams. What the hell they really need is a participation trophy.

I doubt he said that. That is that spirit posters thoughts to try to make him

Feel better.

In posting that they can yet again brag on what would happen only of MSU wasn't scared.

in reality the only way that could even be mentioned is if the SEC filled all of its bowl spots and had another team needing placement. You think the SEC office and ESPN would ok that in the liberty and leave Birmingham or Shrieveport without an SEC tie in when there was one available? That isn't going to happen anymore unless it happens in the upcoming playoff.

but of course, now that they thought of it and it wouldn't take place......it is only because MSU refused or backed out.

It it appears they have reached "bargaining" in the stages of grief.

Haha, that's just about right. I have never seen a fan base like theirs that's for sure. They live in la la land. I wish dak could if played the whole game so we could of really decimated them and leave no doubt in their minds. Nm, they would still try to say something else crazy

Why don't they ask for a rematch with their real rival LSU. That would be funny to wipe out their big win

we have actually played the egg bowl game twice in one season, in our long egg bowl history.

i think we won them both, but i could be wrong. overall, we won that **** and the bragging rights are OURS. tell those snarky bitches to deal with it for a year. thats the price you pay. there is no double or nothing for us...we already have bragging rights and an extra chance would only reward them a chance of redemption. let it continue to rot them from the inside and permeate their empty souls.
