They are very good unfortunately. We dominate them head to head though. Glorydawg made a very good point as well

Their coach punches women in the face, allegedly. And their fans are OK with that. That pretty much sums them up.
Being in a position where I’ve been able to spend a lot of time with our coaches away from the courts/fields, I can assure you our coaches aren’t choir boys.

It’s this ho-hum, holier than thou attitude that is part of the reason we’re in the situation we’re in

Nailed it. They are literally showing us the road map to being successful and far too many of our fans are so glad we're above them in some way. We've absolutely kept football players on the team who have done the same thing.

I have gotten to the point I don't care if Ole Miss is good or not. When were up they are down and when they are up we are down. It goes back and forth. I will still trash them when I can.

It feels a little different this time. They have a sharp AD who is an alum there and gets it in this era. I’m not convinced our leadership gets it.

We have gotta change our approach to some things or the “cycle” is going to last longer than it normally does. They have the right people in place to do big things in this era. Outside of a couple of coaches, I’m not convinced we do.

Good. Sadly, if there is anything that would drive change it would be OM whipping our *** in basically everything. MSU tolerates mediocrity (embraces?) so long as OM is right there with us. If they clearly leave us in their dust? Hopefully, that would motivate some real change. Better that than never I suppose.

When have I EVER cared what they did? Checks notes slowly and carefully............

I don’t expect coaches to be choir boys. If you think punching your wife in the face is OK if the team wins, I don’t even know how to effectively communicate my level of disagreement.

If that’s what you got out of my comment then I’m not sure you’re capable of understanding or having this conversation

What concerns me is it’s been happening in football for a few years and it doesn’t feel like much has changed yet. They have 21 wins the last two football seasons, we have 7. We also are 1-4 against Kiffin head to head.

Basketball is a weird conversation that only started to change a little this weekend. We’ve beaten them head to head and had fairly comparable regular seasons (they were 24 on the seed list, we were 32, that’s not just a huge difference), but their ability to have postseason success quickly while we get can’t get one tourney win is a little eye opening.

You would think. And yet here we are just sitting and watching them have success and not doing a damn thing to improve ourselves.
