I have a S.U.N. Loving Co-worker and he's saying state will lose to them by 14. This just makes me laugh as he proceeded to brag about how their schedule is tougher than State's and state wont win but one more game....jeez I hope to throw an egg at him on November 24 in victory.

I actually enjoy reading this board more when we are not talking about Ole Miss.

They are an improved team and if we played them today in Oxford it would probably be a closely fought game that
either team could win. Freeze has done a good job with them and should be commended for the job he has done. With that said I think we are the better team right now and the better program. I have pretty much stopped listening to their delusional fans and ours, it has just gotten old. Let's take care of our business and worry more about us and less about them.

Long way to the Egg Bowl. But it's always tough for the road team to win an Egg Bowl. Even when the road team is a significant favorite, they still only win about half the time.

In spite of OM's obvious improvements over last year, I think that State wins 9 out of 10 on a neutral field. That said, this year's game won't be on a neutral field and you can rest assured that the Rebs would love nothing more than to 17 up our season on that day. Even if that would only mean dropping us down a bowl tier or two.

Expecting a 14 pt win by OM is probably a bit of a stretch, but I fully expect them to give State all they want.

Worry about Bama. You guys have as good a shot as anybody to knock them off this year.

I think the Egg Bowl could be a good game this year, certainly better than I expected at the start of the year, but I'm sick to death of hearing about "my Ole Miss friend said such and such when I was visiting him at the insane asylum..." I don't doubt these people exist somewhere, but you need a higher class of friends and co-workers.

The Bears are much improved from last year.

I am married to a Rebel, and I was at their game Saturday.
You would have thought they had won the SEC with their reaction after the game.
They really think they will not lose another game this year, and beat us easily.
Here are a few delusional quotes from their fans.

"State hasn't played anybody this year, and you will be lucky to win another game with your schedule."
"We will beat State easily in the Egg Bowl this year"
"The Rebels will only lose one or two more game this year, UGA and/or LSU"
And my favorite..
"Mullen better take the next offer he gets. b/c Freeze is the best coach in MS and will dominate y'all in the future."

The Kool-aid is really strong in Oxford right now..

Yep, I don't mean anything personal toward Voldawg but we just don't need to be

focused on Ole Miss right now, that time will come in six weeks or so. We have an opportunity before us that is nearly unprecedented in MSU Football. We are a program on the rise and we need to keep it that way. Focusing on Ole Miss is not a good way to continue our progress and get us to where most of us want to see us go.
