</p><p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt" class="MsoNormal"><span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman','serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt">When Chancellor Jones approached me about leading the search for the new Ole Miss head football coach, we agreed that the process should be carried out with greater transparency than has previously been the case.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The great fans and alumni of the University deserve to know firsthand what the status of the coaching search is, rather than relying on misinformation propagated through the internet on web pages and bloggings.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>To that end, I had our son Cooper set up a Personal Computer and a connection to the World Wide Web, and my wife Olivia will be responsible for finding a relevant outlet through which to disseminate current information which I will provide to our loyal Rebel supporters.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>I will attempt to be as open and forthright as possible with you as we seek to hire the coach who will lead our football program back to greatness.</span></p>
